[Broadcast--outside of a cave at bleak sunset][actionspam welcome]
[It has been a lunar cycle since he found himself mysteriously resurrected for the second? third? time, and Megatron has spent most of it feeling odd. He refused to take residence in any of the Firstforged's temples, and had returned to his cave in the mountain where the base of his trans-dimensional space bridge had been built...]
[...and then he hadn't known what to do. Every time he'd attempted to return to his universe he'd been shunted onto a different path. Should he try it again, to go home and resume his war? Or was it time for something new?]
Fear.
[He starts, looking off towards the setting sun.]
Fear is something I have heard much about. Fear of the Badlands. Fear of loosing one's friends, lovers, allies, and close connections. Fear of each other. Fear of the Firstforged.
I propose it is time to do something about that fear.
[He wasn't giving up on his space-bridge. Not yet. For now, however, he was going to focus his power on a different task.]
I have decided to embark upon a quest. From what I have been told, the Firstforged have been far from forthcoming on information about this world, about their adversaries, and about our place within it.
I cannot tolerate being left ignorant. Anyone who has information about the badlands, the Firstforged, or their own, personal fears...
[He laughs.]
You are welcome to join me. I'll be leaving to fight my way as close to the badlands as I can get in three days.
I'll share what I learn with those who do the same.
[Megatron closes with coordinates to his cave--an invitation to come speak with him in private before he goes.]
[LOCKED TO DECEPTICONS]
I don't care what your previous universe is. If you bore the mark or went through the ceremony, I want to hear from you. Now. Tell me who your Firstforged is.
[LOCKED TO TARN]
I have a proposal.
[LOCKED TO VEN]
Are you free tomorrow?

[Audio]Excellent~
Why do they not come out?
What permits them to enter, but not to leave? It sounds as if there is some thought behind it...
And if something in there is thinking, then something in there is alive.
[Audio]
It is easy to assume it is against common logic or our will.
[Audio]
[Like the voices in his head, when he went insane.]
Yes. It is like that.
I do not know about you, but I do not like the idea of my will being influenced.
[He growls at the thought.]
What is your designation?
[Audio]
[But...some were just that impulsive type. Mirage was too, for awhile.]
...Is it essential?
[Audio]
However, staying around here forever will not afford us any answers. The only way to face this enemy is head on...unless someone has tried something already that I'm not aware of?
[He wants to know. Any advantage he can get in this...he wants to know.]
It is only fair. [You know who he is.]
If I'm going to start anew here, distrust will not help.
[Audio]
[But it at least keeps a Megatron busy...]
I have heard some rallied with Megatronus Prime to enter the Badlands once. Perhaps they would know. And perhaps a FirstForged's presence, or blessing, helps.
...
I am from Barricade's world.
[Audio]
But I refuse to wait to see what happens next. I remember the last time I waited.
[He went insane. He didn't enjoy that very much.]
If I had acted then...maybe things would have turned out differently.
[It grates on him, still. However, he does listen to you. He doesn't like what you say, but he does listen. If Megatronus Prime went......]
Barricade is an old friend of mine. As was Blackout, once. [He laughs.] And Ironhide. [Brief as it was, he'd enjoyed it.] I must say, however--your Megatron had a few unsoldered connections in his processor.
[Audio]
[He can understand your...concern with this, then.]
Ironhide was your friend?
[Colour him surprised.] I could not agree more on Megatron. Could not agree more.
[Audio]
[It still shakes him to his core to remember it--not that he would want anyone to know this.]
I would prefer that experience not be repeated. By anyone.
[It had been more than traumatic.]
Before he learned I was Megatron? Yes. [He laughs again.] He could not ever forgive me for that deception, however. It was a shame--few fought more fiercely than he did. He put everything he had into each battle.
It is to my shame and honor that so many of my counterparts create such vast empires...yet lose themselves in doing so. Something about anger management.
[He bares a fang when he smiles this time--because oh, has he had problems with his own anger.]
[Audio]
Ah, that would explain everything.
[Because no matter what universe, Ironhide would have never, EVER agreed with a Megatron, on anything.]
Is a shame, really. Is almost like a reoccuring pattern? Perhaps it will happen with yourself. If you are not careful.
[Audio]
[Soundwave, for instance. There was still a part of him that was stunned Ratbat's personal assistant had chosen to side with him...but pleased, as well.]
I am certain that it will happen to me. It has happened to me.
Unless I can return to my world with the knowledge that I have...
[But he can't. Every time he's tried it's failed, which marks this as the first time he's focusing on something else.]
No.
That will come later. For now, we're dealing with this threat.
Care to join me?
