[What a surprise: Sentinel’s angry. The acolytes are pottering around in the background of the video, having been shouted at and told to frag off. Clearly, any information they had to offer had fallen on, ah, deaf audios.]

Ugh, is there anyone around here who isn’t a useless maintenance drone? These things are swarming all over the place and I haven’t been able to get a straight answer out of any of them!

I’m a Prime; we’re supposed to get better treatment than this!

[He scowls into the camera.]

Anyway, any Autobots in the immediate vicinity report directly to me. I want to know what’s going on and, uh, where I am.

[This is about as polite as you’re going to get from him.]

He let a lot of people down. In fact, I was just on that disgusting mud ball planet where he's stationed with his team. Had to help capture a Decepticon spy they'd let run around.

Why would a Prime work maintenance anyway, aren't Prime's leaders on your world?

We have a hierarchy. At the top is the Magnus, leader of the Autobot army. Then Primes.

I ... guess it's different in your universe?

Yeah, a lot different. Fer one we only got one Prime. Can only be one at a time. They only become Primes when they get the Matrix of Leadership. Which they gotta earn.

[He's kind of getting the impression your world throws the word 'Prime' around like it's going out of fashion.]

Only Magnus I know of is Ultra Magnus. While he was a commander he was still lower than Optimus.

Matrix of ... Leadership? Doesn't sound familiar.

[His audios perk up.]

Ultra Magnus? He's the leader in our universe. Great bot. Kinda old.

He's a commander in mine. Led the Wreckers at one point. But....he ain't been seen or heard from since the exodus from our Cybertron.

Our Supreme Commander is signified by them wielding the Magnus Hammer.

The thing controls local weather patterns and helped to forge the Allspark container way back.

Uh...I wouldn't know about that stuff. Never actually got ta meet him, just know what I've heard of him.

[DEAD? He can barely stand being off planet longer than a few years, but never being able to return? That's not something he'd ever be able to get used to.]

[He cuts himself off. All he's known is a living Cybertron, and can't even comprehend what it would be like to lose that. What could he even say to Bulkhead? He's never been one for comforting bots at the best of times, and he assumed this to be somewhat of a sore subject.

The pause was starting to get extremely awkward. He'd have to say something.]

How'd you kill it?

[Nailed it. Probably.]

[He watches the expressions as he waits. He glances away from the screen.]

Our Megatron killed it, poisoned the core. Made it unlivable.

Our universes' Decepticons were exiled from Cybertron after they lost the Great War.

I, uh. Guess not every universe was fortunate enough to have that outcome.

[Wow. This is really awkward for him. Guess who regrets asking!]

After the war? Ours hasn't even ended. They followed us ta Earth, where it's still goin' on.

Uh, but congrats on wars end in your world? [He's trying at least?]

[Sentinel has never known war. Hell, he's only seen a real live Decepticon like ... twice.

He has, however, read up on the history of the war as per studying in the Academy, and had been dragged to various exhibitions on Cybertron by Optimus when they were still friends. Due to this, while he won't truly be able to empathise with Bulkhead because of the difference in how they experienced the conflict between the Autobots and Decepticons in their own universes, he is still painfully aware of the horrors such a war could bring. *coughOilslickcough*]

Megatron was never actually killed, so Decepticons still participate in small uprisings along the edges of Autobot space. By the time I got pulled through the tear, they were getting a lot more co-ordinated.

[It's n-not like I'm worried about my friends or anything, b-baka.]

We only won because of the Omega Project. But ... it was highly secretive; I was sparked after the war and was- ... am part of Ultra Magnus's inner circle [I'M A BIG DEAL, BULKHEAD. RESPECT MEEEEE] and I don't even know what actually happened. Just the result.

But, we won. That's all that matters.

[He's never met or seen the Megatron of his universe, and he still doesn't believe that OP fought him, despite seeing Starscream that one time.]

A lot of our issues are political now. Megatron spreads propaganda that Autobots are oppressive totalitarian monsters who forced the Decepticons off-planet for speaking out against the government. Unfortunately, he conveniently misses out that the thing the Decepticons wanted was a totalitarian leadership with Megatron at the head, instead of Ultra Magnus.

All that and besides, as Autobots we're programmed to uphold and protect the value of life. The Decepticons just want to crush everything that gets in their way. Megatron got his transistors in a twist because instead of destroying everything that made contact with us to establish Cybertronian superiority, the Magnus would attempt to forge alliances to expand Autobot space. Even with nasty organic races.

[Ever so slight squinty opic glare at him when he mentions his age. Sentinel seems to have a bit of ageism going as well as racism. What a stellar guy.]

Same problem in our universe. As long as there's a Decepticon alive, their ideals will cling to them, and no matter what it's always trouble for us. I just ... hope it's not getting too bad back home. The War has been threatening to reignite for a while now and like I said, their attacks on our space bridges and colonies were getting a lot more co-ordinated ...

[He trails off. There's a lot of doubt in his mind whether Ultra Magnus could even deal pun intended with another war, and now that he knows alternate Cybertrons were destroyed by the conflict, that's only exacerbated. Naturally, he believes that he should be the one there to lead the Autobots to victory against the Decepticons.]

I ain't inta the whole political thing, but sounds like somethin' ours would do too.But for us, bots and cons didn't exist before the war., we were just Cybertronians, only thing that mattered was what caste we were in and what work we did.
