[Video] - far above the Haven, with a bit of static

[The video feed, laced with static here and there but otherwise viable, shows Jetfire from bottom half and down, his arm angled to focus on what seems to be a little drone plane insistently burning at full throttle a few feet beneath thrusters.

Though, for some reason, unless he's keeping precise time with it (which, in fact, he's not, keeping himself hovering) it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Far, far below both Jetfire and drone, the curve of Cybertron can be seen.]

I was in need of some... er, distraction and can safely say that attempting to leave Cybertron's near orbit at present, without some sort of modification, won't result in any greater harm than frustration.

[Jetfire starts to drift, so hopefully no one watching easily gets vertigo as he makes a circle above the insistently flying drone.]

I did, of course, attempt some preliminary tests before I was given the modifications, but as there was no way to know if pushing too far would result in a negative backlash of some sort, I didn't think it prudent to try to use too much power in attempting to get past the... er, field that currently seems to surround Cybertron.

[He might sound a bit more clipped than he usually does, and, out of view of the down-tilted feed, Jetfire's frowning because by now he's sort of... on edge due to Things. Hence, distraction.

Underneath his feet, the drone plane's engine nozzles sputter, cough and then die as it runs out of fuel, and the feed tilts, aiming back up to show Jetfire's upper half and wearing his outer helmet as he dives down to catch it, the static in the feed as he nears Haven smoothing out.]

Also, ah... Sari, Kagerou? I have something for each of you.

[You would think he's not flying straight down at speed to catch his drone plane, by his unruffled tone.]

[Jetfire's optics flickered past Blurr's faceplates to follow the glance he'd thrown, and smiled a bit wryly himself.]

I can take us down, if you want.

[It's not surprising to Jetfire if Blurr suddenly got struck with a bit of vertigo and fear of heights; he just fell a good distance, and he's not actually a flyer, even if he now can fly.]

If you really don't mind? We can try it again after a minutes minutes. With less speed.

[He does need a bit of time. Blurr is so used to fall from high places is not even funny, it makes him wary at times.]

Not at all. And while additional data might be useful, I think it's pretty... ah, proven that your method of flight cannot get around the effect the Lambda has on our ability to get beyond near orbit.

[As annoying as that is. Jetfire sease out a static sigh and then redirects his flight systems from keeping them hovering to descending - controlled, thrusters first, instead of his more usual helm-first (or nosecone first, if he's in altmode) descent.]

'Proven' is a way to say it. [Blurr tries to not move much to not bother the bigger mech.] I'm sorry it didn't work out.

[Blurr, you're very small, you squirming around won't bother him any. Unless you manage to move enough to get out of his grip, that is.]

Don't worry about it. I suspected this would be the result... [A lopsided, dry smile briefly crosses his faceplates.] Well, not you somehow managing to hit the resistance, but you being unable to cross it.

I simply don't wish to leave things to chance and supposition.

[That's true. No, no, he's wont' move all that much.]

Perhaps not the whole barrier is so strong, we could try this again further away from the Haven. The planet is giant after all. [Blurr rubs a hand over his forehead. he's glad he didn't break the spike on his head.] I would have been impressed if you managed to predict that part. A little angry that you didn't warm me too. [He smiles up at Jetfire.]

I noticed. I want facts over conjectures too.

If I'd thought that would happen, I'd certainly have warned you. And as for going elsewhere... It's an idea worth pursuing.

[Jetfire glances upwards, at the white-on-black bleed of the Lambda and the colours on its edges.]

It's unfortunately large enough it probably affects the greater part of the solar system in some way, but that doesn't mean an attempt of crossing the... er, resistance elsewhere would be without worth.

IknowIknow... I was joking. Certainly can't hurt. Well actually....can't hurt MORE.

What really worries is if were and when we could end if we cross it.

[Chuckling, Jetfire shake shis helm.]

We simply end up in space, Blurr. Right beyond the barrier. I've crossed it a number of times since I got the upgrades from Liege. [Shrugging, Jetfire tilts his helm to nod up at the Lambda above them and then looks back down.]

Merely crossing the barrier don't leave you open to being... er, affected by the Lambda, though going too close to it certainly might.

Oh....right. Iknewthat. [He totally did, SHHH.]

[Blurr looks down, feeling (thankfully) less dizzy. His processor is still killing him but he thinks he will at least be able to walk straight now.]

[Jetfire smiles, and concentrates on the last bit down, settling down on a balcony in Vector Prime's temple.]

You well enough to walk by your own?

[*Cough* That's rather sweet of you, Jetfire. Blurr nodded and smiled up at him.]

Yes, it won't _{have any problem} getting to my room from here, thanks. We will try it again another day, ok?

[Well, he is the one currenly capable of flying and moving securely on his own, and the extra distance doesn't really matter, so why not?]

Good. [Chuckling, Jetfire put Blurr down on the ground.] And next time, you'll probably remember to take it a little... ah, slower, maybe?

[It's amusing mostly because 'Blurr' and 'slowly' is not very synomymous.]

Going slow is actually something hard for me to do BUT I THINK in this case it would be for the best. See you around then?

[Jetfire dips his helm in a nod and leans back against the balcony's railing, clearly intent on waiting there until Blurr is inside.]
