[He and his party have been returning for the last few days, a ragged, shaken group who are nevertheless still alive. They are survivors, and Megatron seems to take a sort of pride in that...walking tall and steady despite an obvious limp. A few blades are slung from his back like trophies, and one or two still have alien-looking hands attached at the hilt.]

I must admit concession to whoever told me it was folly to approach the badlands.

[Here he is. Returned. He wishes he could say it was a relief.]

You were right...

...but so was I.

[He tosses a blade down, letting it imbed in the safe soil at his feet.] Their numbers are greater than ours. If they should attack at full strength, I doubt we would last long.

So why do they not attack us yet?

[He smirks, but it's a bitter smirk.] I have a theory.

We may even be able to use it to our advantage.

Those who offered their support are welcome to this information. Those who did not? Well. We're all in this together, aren't we?

[It doesn't mean he's going to tell. Not right away.]

I'll be at the Hub if anyone wants to hear our stories. If there are any medics thinking about attending...you'll be needed.

[The ones who had come along had done amazingly given the lack of facilities and traveling circumstances, and more weren't going to hurt.]

[He frowns, because for a moment there things had not looked good.]

But no. It was over as quickly as it began, and we did not stick around long enough for a second go.

You know where to meet me. [The frown vanishes slowly into a smirk.] Ever had any experience pulling knife-tips out of circuitry?

I am glad that you brought everyone back alive, thank you.

[He offers a smile of gratitude that shows that he really does mean it.]

Hm? I've had to do so on just a couple occasions, is it you or another that is in need of the assistance?

[He just wants to know if he should be looking for anyone else.]

We're going to need everyone to make it through this.

[He understands that you mean it, and returns it with something equally serious. His value of lives and yours might be different...but at least for now it's pointed in the same direction.]

These blades cut through metal. Cybertronian steel, even. I doubt I'm the only one who needs it...at least, judging from the complaints I caught on the way back.

It's like having an itch you just can't scratch.

[The reason they both value lives maybe different, but for now he is just glad that you do value them.]

It's a bit disheartening to hear that, but I suppose it is better than being lied to about how we stand.

[He nods softly.]

Well I will come help you and anyone else thereafter. Are you headed straight for the Hub?

I agree.

[He's glad you don't want the steel wool pulled over your optics.]

Though we're safe enough for now. [There's a bit of bitterness in that tone, and you might catch him glancing at his Glyph with distaste.]

I will be. A few of the others have needs to attend to.

[Like having a wing welded back on, or having their innards rewired. You know. Simple stuff.]

[Megatron nodded, heading toward the hub so that he could meet up with the other.]

I will meet up with you there then.

[And true to his word he was there shortly himself, offering a smile and a handshake to his counterpart once he saw him.]

[Megatron accepts the handshake, if just for the novelty of meeting a grip as strong as his own.]

I suppose you're going to want to know what my theory is, aren't you?

[Megatron doesn't shy on his strength with the gesture, respecting the other enough to know he wouldn't cause damage with a handshake.]

I'm always particularly interested in theories. Would you be willing to impart yours to me while I help ensure you are free of blade tips? Or do I have to wait until you are telling the masses?
