[He and his party have been returning for the last few days, a ragged, shaken group who are nevertheless still alive. They are survivors, and Megatron seems to take a sort of pride in that...walking tall and steady despite an obvious limp. A few blades are slung from his back like trophies, and one or two still have alien-looking hands attached at the hilt.]

I must admit concession to whoever told me it was folly to approach the badlands.

[Here he is. Returned. He wishes he could say it was a relief.]

You were right...

...but so was I.

[He tosses a blade down, letting it imbed in the safe soil at his feet.] Their numbers are greater than ours. If they should attack at full strength, I doubt we would last long.

So why do they not attack us yet?

[He smirks, but it's a bitter smirk.] I have a theory.

We may even be able to use it to our advantage.

Those who offered their support are welcome to this information. Those who did not? Well. We're all in this together, aren't we?

[It doesn't mean he's going to tell. Not right away.]

I'll be at the Hub if anyone wants to hear our stories. If there are any medics thinking about attending...you'll be needed.

[The ones who had come along had done amazingly given the lack of facilities and traveling circumstances, and more weren't going to hurt.]

Those are my thoughts as well.

I do not regret going, at the same time that I regret having been there.

[Without the trip they'd not know what they know now...but that didn't make it pleasant.]

Join me. Those who fought out in the badlands have earned more than my respect.

At least there are some who did learn something about that place, which made the journey worth it.

[She learned a few things herself, but she's not sure if she wishes to share them just yet.]

I dislike the idea that the Firstforged might have been correct. In more ways than one.

However, I agree. Better to know what army that you face...than to not know you are facing an army.

[Even if he might actually be looking forward to battle like that again.]

How are you holding up?

It gives us a bit more of an edge, no matter how slight it may be.

[And with this kind of enemy every little bit helps.

[She gives a slight laugh.]

I'm cut up, bruised and sore all over, but nothing that won't heal on its own. So not too bad, considering I have suffered worse in previous battles.

Do humans heal quickly?

[He asks, before he has a moment to consider.]

Are you human?

[You looked much like Mikaela, who he'd had the most dealings with on the human scale.]

[She pauses for a sec, since there have been times that she even wondered if she was still human.]

I am human, though not exactly a normal one. I have lived longer than most.

But, as for how fast a human can heal, that all depends on the individual and the injures. Something like this will only take me a bit over a week to get over.

Not one to stay out of the action long, are you, then?

[He laughs.] It is something I think I like about your species. Given that we must cooperate on this world whether I like humans or not, however, I can at least say you've been useful.

How did you find the badlands to be, once we got close?

[There maaaay be a reason he's asking.]

If I had to commit myself to bed rest for ever bump or bruise I got, I wouldn't get anything done.

As for the Badlands...

[She pauses, not exactly sure what to say about this]

My head did not clear until the battle started. I am not sure if I should be relieved by that or disturbed.

I noticed you fared better than most once we got there. That, on its own, is why I'm curious.

I have at theory, but it is not something that should be explained in the open. [Mainly because she has yet to tell anyone that she draws her power from darkness and is not sure how people here will react.]
