They are survivors, and Megatron seems to take a sort of pride in that...walking tall and steady despite an obvious limp. A few blades are slung from his back like trophies, and one or two still have alien-looking hands attached at the hilt.]

I must admit concession to whoever told me it was folly to approach the badlands.

[Here he is. Returned. He wishes he could say it was a relief.]

[He tosses a blade down, letting it imbed in the safe soil at his feet.] Their numbers are greater than ours. If they should attack at full strength, I doubt we would last long.

So why do they not attack us yet?

[He smirks, but it's a bitter smirk.] I have a theory.

[Unless the DJD have managed to keep their proclivities under wraps from Megatron. Either way, Barricade has a whole metaphorical bag full of circumstantial evidence that he doesn't have to take to the cops.]

[He doesn't suspect Tarn at the moment...mostly because he'd told Tarn to leave Ambulon alone. He...thinks he did, anyhow.]

There are only so many mechs with a reputation for a certain... style around here. And only two of them go after former Decepticons.

[He knows Megatron is probably aware of his reputation - Barricade hadn't tried to hide it so much in Axiom - but that it generally wasn't aimed at defectors.]

We'll need to get rid of the threat one way or another, and I hate waiting for an enemy to come to me when I have other plans in mind.

When one has had a specific mission dispensed by a leader they feel strongly for, it can be troublesome t'let it go.

["Feel strongly for". "Troublesome". Let's just go with that.]

Now he's gonna have the Police and the Wreckers all over him.

[Which is a bigger problem than the torture because it has the potential to shine a light on all sorts of people. Like Barricade.]

[He locks this, because he KNOWS Tarn will look for it.]

It is even more troublesome when they're doing it in my name.

I can use it to my advantage, still, but it is going to be harder.

How is the medic doing?

[Barricade expected that Tarn would go looking for it. Actually he expects a lot of mechs are just as nosy as he is.]

I hope you can, because the Autobots will use whatever they can t'damn your name, and this is hefty ammunition.

I haven't spoken to him, but from my experience? Folks that remember that sort of thing are never okay afterwards. I suspect he's gonna need help... and like most folks will pretend he doesn't.
