[Electronic beeps and whistles make up most of the message before a translation is provided.]

[He had to say, he was wondering when that little droid would get in contact with him. And to text him privately? He's touched. When he picks up the comm link from getting his weapons ready for when Prowl calls him, he perks an eyebrow.]

Sounds good to me, pint-size.

Remind me of your strengths, though. I'm still pretty curious.

[He gives something of an indignant bzzt at being called pint-size, but he can't really argue when these guys are more than five times his height.]

[[System/computer analysis, starship repair and navigation...

Will be there, then._]]

Just what I'm looking for, then. I'll meet you there. I've got a fr--guy working on it too. So you'll make a new friend in the process.

[Twittering a compliance, he shoots over his coordinates.]

[Sure, it takes a few minutes for Wheeljack to get there, but he follows R2's coordinates as given, give or take a mile or so in case the bot's on the move. It isn't long before a car drives up alongside the bot.]

Fast little fella, aren't ya.

[He'd like to think he'd gotten a fair amount of progress! If he still had rocket boosters, it would make things easier.

The droid's domed head swivels so that his main lens is directed towards Wheeljack. He chirps a greeting.]

[At the affirmative chirp, he transforms back, kneeling down in front of the droid before offering to pick him up. Walking would be a little longer, but it'd be miles above R2 on his own.]

Field trip time.

[Artoo rolls his central foot back to line his body up with his legs, figuring it would be easier to be picked up this way, beeping in a sing-song way. Ready to go!]

[Just like holding a barbie doll. Or even less so. His grip is firm, but careful as he walks, heading towards the edge of Solus's Quadrant.]

Take it you're not much of a talker, but I got someone else workin' on the ship too. Think you'll get along.

[Artoo likes talking very much! His beeps and buzzes claim as much- it's not his fault that not many can understand binary!]

I'm...gonna pretend I understood that. Maybe ya do like chatter after all.

[It doesn't take long to get to the Solian sector. Thankfully they were already close. But in the distance there's a trench between two pieces of mesa. Wheeljack seems to be heading for that.]

[The next sound is undoubtedly smug at that.

He doesn't say a whole lot on their trip, although now and then there's a whistle in admiration of the scenery. He hasn't quite checked out this area yet, and he has to admit, he doesn't mind this method of travel in the least.

As they near that particular area, which by Artoo's sensors match up with the coordinates he'd been given earlier, the droid gives an inquisitive whistle.]

[Once they arrive at the site, Wheeljack sets the droid down. Just ahead is a nicely sized spaceship, dwarfing even Wheeljack in size. The bot walks up to it, running a hand along one of the pillars keeping it held up.]

Percy's gotta be around here somewhere, but here she is. The..Iru...uh...

Iru...

The Jackhammer.

[Once he's set down, the astromech trundles along to get a better look, hooting in admiration.

His domed head turns expectantly towards Wheeljack as he waits for the name, and he's not sure where the Autobot's going with the Iru's, but Jackhammer sounds good enough for a ship name. He twitters an approval.]

[~~LETS PRETEND WHEELJACK COULD UNDERSTAND HIM BECAUSE IM A MORON~~

There's a smirk at R2's response, obviously glad he approves of the ship name.]

Thought of it myself.

Perceptor ain't so keen on it, though.

[~~YESSIR~~ He beeps inquiringly at the name mentioned. Perceptor? Come to think of it, he's sure he's seen the name on the Link here and there.]

Ah...scientist. Large. Stupid accent.

Thinks he knows everything.

Usually does.

[Sadly Artoo would not know why 'jack would think the accent was stupid. After all, it would have been common around the Republic.

He whistles thoughtfully at that.]
