[Fracas has been absent for a quite a while. Really, less absent, more... asleep. If nothing else, it's kept him out of trouble. He slowly sits up with a groan, looking around. What. What did he just get back from, even? Or... remember?

Oh. Oh.

He turns on his communicator. Audio-only for now; he's not really feeling up to video.]

I need to see a medic, if one's available. Not. Not Knock Out.

[And briefly, Fracas sounds almost angry.]

But I do need to speak to him.

... Could someone tell me what I've missed, while I'm at it?

[Red Alert doesn't waste any time; she transforms and starts driving steadily towards the given coordinates. She's not one for idle chatter, but she gives it a try anyway.]

How do you feel? Dizzy? Tired?

[He shifts on the slab he woke up on, watching the door for a few moments.]

Like I just woke up for the first time in several weeks.

[No, that's not really enough information. Also it's a little too snarky. Take two?]

I uhm. I'm not sure what symptoms there are, to what I'm worried about. I don't think anyone actually survived long enough to have symptoms...

[She doesn't say anything else until she gets to him. The Vehicon seems shaken, but otherwise healthy, there are no outward symptoms. That doesn't mean much though.

Red Alert doesn't waste any time, she strides up to him and holds up her arm to do a scan.]

Tell me exactly what you're worried about.

[A red light appears from her right arm and starts scanning up and down Fracas' body. As far as she can tell there's nothing wrong...]

[Fracas holds still when he notices the light, eying it uncertainly for a few moments.]

[He pauses, blanching a little.]

I know this may sound crazy, but. I might have been bitten by a zombie.

I'm not sure but I'd prefer to avoid the whole... trying to eat my friends thing.

[For Fracas's part, he seems completely and utterly serious about this whole thing. No one's going to jump out and proclaim that Red Alert is on Candid Camera here.]

[Red Alert gives no indication that what Fracas said has alarmed her. She continues to scan him a few more times before she takes a step back to look up at him.]

You're fine. A little fatigued perhaps, but otherwise there's nothing wrong with you.

[Her delivery could have been a little bit warmer, but comforting patients isn't really one of her stronger skills.]

[Really, he can't say he expects too much from medics. Just having the information is enough for him. He scrubs one hand over his face, almost laughing for a moment.]

Oh thank Primus. That's... that's really fantastic to hear. I'd hate to bring a plague back from home. This place is hard enough to deal with, without. That.

A plague?

You'll have to explain that one a little further.

[She's absolutely certain that he doesn't have anything on him, but she is curious about a disease that can turn Cybertronians into mindless husks. How interesting.]

[He shakes his head.]

We call it dark energon. Put it into a corpse and the corpse wakes up to destroy anything in its path. But these were worse. Patient Zero... I heard he was still living and he was still infected.

He ate crew members. And the crew members started getting up and eating their friends.

What purpose does this 'Dark energon' serve?

[The rest is important, but that little bit interests her.]

How did its properties change? Do you know?

Animating the dead. Animating things that weren't living before then. Megatron became really powerful using it. He could control the Terrorcons but... I don't think he was able to control these.

[He shifts on the berth.]

From what I heard - if I heard right - they added synthetic energon to it.

[Well. If nothing else, he should be able to make a compelling argument to Skids about why Synthetic Energon is terrible, now.]
