[Blue optics flickered on beneath that equally blue visor. As if someone had turned a switch on, Rewind sprang to life, after being in a coma for what seemed like weeks. It didn't feel that long to him--but then again, you wouldn't if you were comatose. There's an achy sit-up, as he notices wiring and life support tacked onto his systems.
Not a good sign.
He lifts an arm to see a robotic IV of Energon, and a spark monitor.
There's a quick fumble for his Link, checking the date immediately. Considering his previous personal log...he'd been out for quite awhile. It made his proverbial blood run cold.
He hits the record button.]
Okay, what happened.
[SURPRISE! HE'S BACK!]

[SURPRISE! HE'S BACK!]

[Action]
I was nearby. With... someone else.
[Action]
How true is that?
[Action]
You were unconscious for so long... They thought you weren't coming back.
[Excuse him if he scoots a little nearer.]
[Action]
[That made things significantly more interesting. He scoots a little closer himself, practically reading the thought in Kagerou's head.
When you're as old as he is, things are shown a lot more in actions than words could tell. He opens his arms up.]
C'mon, give me a hug, big guy.
[Action]
[And holding on as long as his friend will let him.]
[Action]
I missed you, bud.
[Action]
I was... very worried.
[Action]
[Even if his comatose state is surrounded in mystery.]
I'll get to the bottom of this.
[Action]
[He nods, slightly.]
I'll help you.
[Action]
[He hugs a little tighter, resting his head against that plating.]
Aw thanks, Kagerou. I could use an initiate's help.
[Action]
[Like he imagines others are, too. Like Rewind's partner.]
Just tell me what I need to do.
[Action]
For now...just take it easy. I don't even know where to start. Five minutes out of a coma and all...
[Action]
Easy. Right.
I... can give you data?
[Action]
[Action]
You're my friend. You do whatever you can for friends.
[Action]
...
You really are, Kagerou. Thanks.
[And out of his elbo comes a cable!]
[Action]
[He blinks at the cable a few times. Then... well. He actually takes his helmet off. Or lifts it a little. To where the ports on his head become accessible.]
Can you reach?
[Action]
Thaaaat should do it.
[His arm opens up to show a little screen, and begins punching away on it. Kagerou should be able to feel an...open feeling. Like a proverbial window opening to...what looks like a huge amount of potential information.
Welcome to Rewind's database, Kagerou.]
[Action]
[He has to shift his grip on his helmet, but he tries to help Rewind up. But, then, as the connection is made... he just goes still.]
[This is... new. Huge. Like something he could get lost inside of. Of its own accord, his scanner begins flashing, and his body tenses.]
What... what do I do...?
[Action]
[He types a few things, looking at Kagerou's own data in return. There should be a file transfer going on, after Rewind successfully copies the data. It'd be from Kagerou's point of view, but it was better than nothing.
In fact, seeing in someone else's eyes had it's perks.]
And that should do it. Took about what, ten seconds? Completely painless.
[Action]
[He sounds distant as he says it, some part of him still wondering at the sheer amount of data he can just sense. His curiosity is there, too, and one of his hands lifts a little in response. If he just reached out... just a little...]
[But his hand pauses, as it lifts, when Rewind speaks.]
That's it?
[Action]
[His small hands start reaching around for that cable again, starting to unhook.]
I'll look over these later. You have no idea how much that means to me, bud.
[But he can't help but ask.]
So, what'd you think?
[Action]
[He still sounds a little awed. It's hard not to be. There was just so much.]
[Slowly, he shakes his head, before holding still enough to let Rewind work the cable.]
There was so much -- I don't know how you hold it all.
[Action]
[The cable comes out as easily as it was put in, and back into his elbow it goes!]
It's a gift, with being a Disposable. You trade in wheels for infinite knowledge. Who knew?
[Action]
[He almost says you're not disposable, but. Now he knows better -- not that he feels himself bristle any less.]
... Having so much safe data seems just as good as wheels.
