First, my condolences: I was unable to do much in regards to helping the wounded, given my limited expertise and knowledge of Cybertronian medicine and anatomy. I... hope I can be of some assistance next time. [He scowls and scrubs his face with a hand.] Because there will be a next time, given this Godforsaken place...

Yet, if there is anythin' I can do, you let me know. No hesitations. I'm not afraid to tell you if I can't do somethin' you want or need, but I'm damn willing to try and offer what I can.

But I know some of you who so happen to be relatively human should be seeing me or coming in for a check-up. [Rose? Zer0? HMMMM?]

Also, I wanted to make a couple notes. The timing may not be perfect, but I've been tending to a small garden and have managed to grow a few vegetables. I placed them in the pantry, but they won't last too long, so get 'em while they're still edible.

[Locked to Kay, Ventus, Miko, Cody, Sari, and two certain others]

How you kids doin'? I know it's been tough, but I'm glad you're all okay. Mind comin' around for a check-up soon? Or I can come to you. [It's not really a suggestion, more so, DO IT OKAY.]

I saved a couple bundles of the vegetables I harvested just for you guys. I can bring 'em to you. Got some carrots, squash, and tomatoes. ... Well, wait, tomatoes fruit or vegetable? Hell, whatever, it's food and it's good for you.

... And: Raf? Lyra? If you see this message, please respond. You got me worried, and that ain't good for my three billion ulcers. I've been lookin' around and haven't seen hide nor hair of you. Don't make me set a search party out. I'll do it in a damn heartbeat.

If any of you kids know where they may be, you let me know. I don't care if they told you not to tell, now's not the time for fun and games, ya hear?

[Locked to the police force and law committee]

I never did... apologize. For the losses you took. And this may not mean much, but I'm thankful ya'll did somethin'. That you got the bastards who did this. But as I'm hearin' and seein', people tend to come back alive when they die, so let's pray for a little Resurrection.

[Locked to Wreckers]

It's fair to thank you lot as well. Especially for not involving Miko.

[Locked to IDW Megatron]

Got a... Got a package here.

[He looks... HMM.]

Got your name on it.

It's full of... some interesting stuff. Poetry, recordings, lots of political documents and proposals.

I didn't read or listen to 'em, no worries. But I did read one poem, I ain't gonna lie.

Purple prose is usually frowned upon in the lit society, son.

As soon as you're finished, or, if something comes up, you can always come by later. [He pauses, tilting his helm.] Not that I often handle hazardous materials, but it might be an idea to simply ping me through the Link first before going in.

[To be on the safe side.]

Ah, unfortunately, I haven't kept track of them closer than making sure there's a small supply at each temple. There's not a huge population of those of you who might need some vehicle to get around, but with the materials and equipment I have, it's enough there's not been any use just yet to dedicate one to each.

[Jetfire smiles, a little apologetically.]

Perceptor? He has engaged in a few... ah, visually interesting displays, hasn't he? [Jetfire smiles a little and then shrugs.]

Though those are among the ones who need something to move about the most, so I haven't censured anyone's use of them. The controls are simple, and it can't go far up in the air... [He pauses, shaking his helm.] And some of them find other ways to travel, more hazardous than one of the hover discs.

[Sari and her non-adjusted jetpack, for one.]
angleofscience: (say what? - I did calculations!)

That... might be a good idea, yes. Sari has a helmet, at the least, but the others I can't say I know they do.

[And then he makes a noice which sort of just sounds like his vocaliser got stuck and had to be reset.]

Well, none of the experiments Perceptor has shown off has truly been anything other than visually interesting chemical reactions of more or less common chemicals. I believe none of them would've been harmful, or only minimally so, to organics.

[That makes him chuckle and shake his helm.]

I believe that if we work together, I think it would be possible to produce helmets of far more durable nature and... ah. Yes. That.

[Optics narrowing, Jetfire taps his chin.]

I'm still not sure why that type of synthetic energon has that effect, as the artificial energon from my reality does not. However, the difference may lay in the fact that the one I know of requires a natural energy source of some kind, such as electricity or oil or solar power, and that is then converted into the synthetic energon... The version Perceptor made seems to require raw chemical materials and be made to approximate energon's molecular pattern.

... Which would allow for a probable unending variety of side effects depending on the synthetic energon's final make-up and where it differs from natural energon.

[Of course. He hadn't thought about it before.]

[that makes him laugh quietly.]

Maybe nothing so ambitious, but yes. It would be simpler to make suitable protection with more... ah, expert input, as some materials I might want to use might simply not be feasible or suitable.

[Like solid metal helmets or something like that.]

The issue seems to lie in the complete different methods of production - Perceptor seems invested in making the formula work, which does necessitate trial and error and for it to be tested... If, er... in a more controlled setting, and not letting the test subject run off.

[Like Skids did, ahem.]
angleofscience: (awkward smirk - yes if you say so)

[personal profile] angleofscience 2013-11-28 06:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Sounds doable. And while I don't think we need to give Perceptor that [He grins a bit.] I can certainly work with you to make helmets for the... er, children. I suppose we could combine it with your anatomy lesson.
angleofscience: (probability of this being incidental...)

I don't think there's much cause for worry, doctor McCoy. While this Perceptor is a fair bit more... ah, blunt than the one from my reality, but he's hardly unstable from what I've seen so far.

[Harmless, if showy, chemical experiments mean nothing after all, though it was admittedly sort of troublesome that Skids had gotten out under the effect of that synthetic energon.]

And he'll have to deal with that when it happens. [Jetfire nods, somewhat amused by the thought.]

... Ah. Perhaps I should, er... let you go take care of your business with the children, before we get drawn into further conversation.

[He'd almost forgotten that.]
