[Video - Transmission from: Solian Medbay] 3rd Flight

[When the video cuts on, Swoop seems to still be in the medbay. Horrible cannon wounds to the stomach and all. More importantly, he is peering at what looks to be a small bolt parading its way up his arm. He chirps at it a couple times before remembering that yes, he did turn on the video for a reason.]

Where bot named Cliffjumper? Me found bottle full of little walking bolts and screws, has his name and picture on it.

Also uhm. Me, Swoop sorry. Couple of them escape.

[Swoop you liar, you opened it on purpose and ten of them got out. Aside from the one on his arm they are all marching in the direction of his gut.]

Them kind of tickle a bit.
cliffjumper: (determined - we can do this)

[Sorry Swoop, you'll realise soon why he and Slag are shouting so much.]

Wait, wait... rrrr. [Scrubbing a hand down his faceplates, he's trying to think, because slag it scraplets usually don't come in bottles - that's not food for them, and they're visible in it so it's not a place to hide.]

Scrap and scraplets're different things, and normal scraplets eat you, Swoop! But those... uh. Those ain't doin' that, 'cause if they were you'd be... well.

[He waves a hand in the air, still eyeing the scraplets with a slight twitch at the corner of one optic. He can't quite catch yet what it's about them that makes them familiar.]
cliffjumper: (strangest thing ever)

[He can't decide whether to laugh or what, so what comes out is a muffled, staticy snort.]

When it comes to scraplets, it's kinda hard to be rational. They're... they eat us. And basically only water can kill 'em---

[Optics flickering, those words plus what Swoop said about them repairing him tug enough of not-memories into place to have a sort of deja vu realisation.]

... Negative polarity scraplets.

Huh.

Um, yeah. [Waving a hand at the screen again, Cliffjumper frowns, not so much at Swoop as just frowning.] They're... like the opposite of normal scraplets. From the same reality as the, er, nice Megatron.

Supposed to be for me, ya said?

[How odd.]
cliffjumper: (looking away - uncertain)

Yeah, but payin' attention to that ain't my first thought when I see scraplets, Swoop. These things don't waste time, and while we've got some water around, it still ain't everywhere like on Earth.

[He snickers shortly at the "pretty nice", though. That particular Megatron is way more than "pretty" nice.]

... Ya know, that reminds me. [Give him a moment as goes back to his room and pulls down something that's... chirping... from a shelf.]

Think this is for you?

[And he holds up a birdcage with several small yellow little birds in it.]
cliffjumper: (reasonable - next comes the gun)

[Cliffjumper just shrugs - maybe if Swoop had ever seen or been subjected to normal scraplets he'd understand the reflexive (over-)reaction.]

Oh, good. [He grins a bit, glancing at the birds and then back to Swoop.]

Even if ya didn't have somethin' that's apparently meant for me, I'd have given you this. Just gimmie a few and I'll come over. Medbay, right?

[Just imagine swallowing them first! Not that Cliffjumper remembers doing that, but it has happened.]
cliffjumper: (yeah let's go - no time to hang around)

Be right over then. Just make sure to stop up the bottle again; not sure how much water vapor we've got, 'round here, but with the lake it wouldn't surprise me if there's a bit, and since they die from bein' exposed to water...

[He shrugs and starts to leave the room, chirping birdcage in hand. it'll require some finagling while transforming, but he ought to be able to drive over there with the birds in his altmode.]
cliffjumper: (reasonable - next comes the gun)

[It doesn't take Cliffjumper too long to wander into the medbay, cage in hand.]

Yeah, that looks a lot better, since I assume you had a giant hole before. [Cliffjumper eyes Swoop and his almost completely healed wound in the abdomen.]

Here ya go.

[With a grin, he held up the birdcage.]
cliffjumper: (eh what you say - Sideswipe is wordy)

[personal profile] cliffjumper 2013-09-23 01:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that thing was a fraggin' monster.

[Cliffjumper grimaces as he hands over the cage and takes the bottle instead, not bothering to specify whether he's talking about Tarn or his double fusion cannon. It's probably equally applicable.]

Ya should; these scraplets work quickly and well. [he's not sure why he knows that with such certainty, but he does.] ... thanks. I suppose they'll come in handy, especially if we can keep 'em in some number.

Hope ya can keep those birds alive and well. I did my best.

[He grimaces a bit and shrugs. It hadn't been the easiest to keep them fed and such.]
cliffjumper: (:> - not planning anything at all)

[personal profile] cliffjumper 2013-09-24 12:19 pm (UTC)(link)
... Yeah, I suppose now that I've got this, I ought to offer at least one medic a few so they can make some more. It ain't hard if I remember right, just gotta keep 'em protected.

[Like earlier, he's not sure exactly how he knows, exactly, which bugs him (as usual). Because while any of the negative polarity Decepticons could've told him, that he doesn't remember it... well.]

Well, ya gotta understand... like I said, positive polarity ones are terrifyin'. No one wants to get eaten, ya know?

[He grins, which then softens a little into a smile as Swoop interacts with the tiny birds.]

Suppose they don't have to, no. And they'd come to you anyway, since they'd probably have trouble findin' food, as long as you make sure ya do have food for them.

Yeah, sounds like an idea. [He hadn't thought about it, but that sounds about right, actually, so with a nod, he carefully slips the bottle into subspace and then gives Swoop a slightly arch look.]

What, 'bout the scraplets, or in general? 'Cause it's kinda hard to say somethin' while you're in a panic.

[But that did sound more like "in general" than necessarily just this situation, and Cliffjumper grunts thoughtfully.]

Maybe. Though Cybertron ain't really a place for organic creatures, even if this one's got more organic stuff on it than usual, like the garden and whatnot.
