[Barricade seems to be in a slightly better mood than the last time he was on-screen. In fact, he looks rather pleased. Like a cat that finally managed to catch their owner's goldfish without being noticed.]

So. 'Bout a month ago, I was diggin' around in the Junk Pile and I found something from my world. Something big.

[He shifts, letting the video shift with him and that... that is a ship. It's got a lot of carbon scoring and bullet scars on it, but other than that, it's not in completely terrible shape. Barricade pats one of the rotating turrets on it.]

Been working on the poor thing as much as I can, and I think I've got her flight-ready finally. I was just wonderin'...

[He grins widely.]

Anyone want t'go on a test flight with me?

What makes them so different, anyway? Pilots that take big risks are a credit a dozen.

It is. I got lucky; most later models don't have the proper equipment for mechs like me.

Much as I hate to spoil the big secret... other pilots take big risks. I happen t'hook my processor directly into the ship. Which ain't something everyone is okay with.

Wouldn't it hurt if the craft was crashed? At least that way you're less likely to do something stupid and kill everyone.

Heard of weirder. Maybe not seen weirder, though. [He'd counter with Flatline's spark-splitting project and the gestalts. They would be at it all day if they tried comparing science divisions, probably.]

Mm, you are a charmer~ And it would. Hurts when the ship takes hits in combat too. But it's professionalism that keeps me from pullin' flashy, useless moves. Pain ain't much of a motivating factor to me.

That's... nice to hear? It sounds a bit pointless for firefights, though. How would you be expected to pilot if you're in blinding pain?

They don't exactly hand out the equipment to do that like candy; you have t'be able to either move past the pain, or recognize that it's not yours at all.

Point in fact they don't install it at all anymore. Not enough resources for it.
