☄ [Video] :: Location - Alpha Trion's Quadrant - Lakeside

[The boy's paused from his practice with his keyblade, the keychain still swaying from the last slash he'd made before lowering it to his side. He blinks, glancing aside at his arm, and he reaches over carefully with his left to nudge his sleeve up a bit. His glyph still primarily white save for its magenta outline, but while usually it only appears to be glowing for how bright it is, Ventus is pretty sure it's actually doing so now.]

...well it never did that before...

[He fingers it curiously as he murmurs.]

-oh, Thundercracker! [He smiles because it has been a while, and he had started to wonder if the Decepticon had been avoiding him because of what happened.]

My glyph- it's...well, it started to glow.

[Ventus turns slightly towards the screen to show him.]

I'm feeling a lot better. I can move my arm again- [He raises it for show-] -just...trying to be careful about what I do with it for now.

[Nope, just been stupid amounts of busy. And absent. Especially the absent part.]

[His expression softens just a bit at the boy's grin. He nods.]

It's about that time, I guess. Every two months, it seems, a lot of us experience some kind of change to our Glyphs. [He glances away with a frown, decidedly NOT thinking about ~~well, trying not to think about~~ the change to his own Glyph.]

Hmn.

Good. How long does it normally take humans to repair from that kind of damage?

[Also? He . . . well . . . fraggit, he HAS gotten soft since getting here, hasn't he? He's actually a little sorry he couldn't protect the boy better, even though there was nothing more he could have done. But injured, he imagines Ventus can't go out on his glider either...if the glider was even salvageable. And being grounded sucks more than anything.]

...ever flown in a fighter jet before?

[Because why not. Wouldn't be the first time he's taken a human...]

I guess so... It's been a while since it's really looked so different.

[He looks down at his left arm, turning his forearm slightly.]

I'm not sure. It's the first time I've ever broken anything, and that took a little over a month I think. I'm still supposed to be careful with it though.

[Oh, his glider's fine, being that it changes from his Keyblade. He's probably been told to take it easy and probably not do any crazy trips on the thing though- and in that, yes, it does suck a bit.]

...a jet?

[He nods.]

My alt-mode. It's modeled after a human-built aircraft, so I'm capable of taking passengers.

Oh! [It isn't a term he's familiar with, obviously, but he's seen Thundercracker's other form enough to know what he's talking about now.]

I've never flown in one, no. Being here is the first I've ever seen of...well, a lot of things.

Hm.

Care to clear another first, then? [quirks a grin] I'll even let you pilot a little if you'd like.

[Mildly wry as he is about it, that's...actually pretty huge coming from a Seeker...]

You mean it?

[Just going for a ride would be pretty cool in his book, but it means a lot to be even offered at all! Ven is all smiles.]

When can we go?

Do you have anything pressing at the moment?

No, not really.

Good.

I'll be there shortly.

[He nods!]

[It'd take a few minutes, but the blue fighter jet streaks into view, losing altitude rapidly, circling once in a tight loop as he dropped almost the rest of the way. Last minute, he transforms and lands on his feet, then drops into a crouch, leaning over Ventus.]

Ready?

[He'll never get tired of that. Gaping a moment, he then grins up at the Decepticon, nodding eagerly.]

You bet!

Good. [He'll reach to wrap a hand around Ventus, careful of the injured arm.] Keep your arm close. I don't have a built-in ladder for you to reach the cockpit, so I'll put you there myself when I transform . . . I can't guarantee it'll be the gentlest motion.

[Ventus brings his left arm close, resting his right hand over it. He can move it fine and all, but it's probably better to be safe than sorry.]

Got it. Ready when you are.

[Thundercracker nods, then hops up and begins transforming. His head tucks in as his nosecone separates from his chest and swings up. He'll kind of plop Ventus into the seat in the cockpit, the shield closing over the boy as soon as his hand is free, then his arm disappears down and back as his wings flip around and everything else swivels/tucks/locks into place. It'll all happen very rapidly before things smooth out, and Ventus will feel them gaining altitude.]

You'll want to put the harness on.

[The Seeker's voice comes from somewhere behind the dashboard, one large round light in the center blinking in time with his words. And he'll walk Ventus through locating the various belts and buckles and what goes where.]

[Even though he's seen it before, it's still amazing to watch, especially so close-up! He mouths a 'wow' as the jet comes into formation around him, and he's already edging forward a bit to look out at the scenery.]

Huh? Oh- right.

[He looks down at the controls before scooting back into the seat. It sounds a little complicated, but he's fastened everything in no time!]

[Once Ventus is fastened in, he'll bank slowly to the right. The lake is spread out below them, with Alpha Trion's temple ahead and to the side.]

[Ventus will just sit back and enjoy the ride- and the view! It's kind of nice to have someone else handling things.]

So how fast have you actually flown before? About the speed we were doing in the Badlands?

Compared to when we were traveling out there, probably a little faster than that.

Traveling in the Lanes Between, it doesn't take too long to get between worlds, but I guess it would be a lot different without those ways.

[Low chuckle.]

You don't know fast, then. In a cubby on your right, there's a roughly-triangle-shaped . . . looks like a funnel with straps and a hose. The funnel goes over your nose and mouth, and the straps are to fasten it around your head. You'll need that for breathing.

[He blinks, then looks over to find what the Decepticon is talking about.]

This thing...?

[He slips it over as instructed, pausing.]

...what do you mean, for breathing...?

[There's a chuckle.]

Don't look so nervous. It has to do with the air pressures. I'll keep my cockpit's pressure as stable as I can. The mask is just in case.

[More seriously, he adds.]

I won't intentionally do anything to harm you, Ventus. I swear it.

[While he has far more actual friends here in Haven than he's had in eons, he still doesn't have that /many/, and he doesn't want to lose any. He doesn't want to break the boy's trust in him.]

I didn't know that flying so fast made things so complicated...

[Being harmed by Thundercracker is the last thing on his mind.]

Mn, I'm not worried about that.
