[So . . . someone slipped into a defrag cycle in his boss's carport, in vehicle mode, and came to in robot mode . . . on a fancy table . . . in some ancient-looking sanctuary . . . with a robed robot drone hovering over him.]
[Deckard has heard the spiel. He's explored the temple a little bit, shocked...almost more than anything else...at the SIZE of it all - not only the expansiveness of the building but the proportions of everything in it (he's not a giant by comparison!). He's made his way outside only to look over a landscape as alien as anything he could ever imagine. He's found the Network and gone back through some 2 weeks' worth of posts. Honestly, it hasn't told him much . . . except that there are a few humans here and apparently a lot - A LOT - of robots. With Super A.I.'s like his, it would seem. And their designs run the gamut. What the hell is this place!?]
[Frankly, he's wondering if someone's messing with his sensory input again. Though if they are, this is far more elaborate than those programmer sisters had run. He's finally learned all that he can on his own. Time to reach out for some further answers.]
Good afternoon. My name is Deckard. I'm with a group called the Brave Police, from the division operating out of Tokyo, Japan. If anyone receives this transmission, please respond.
[If this just all turns out to be some kind of hoax, he's going to feel really silly. Honestly, though? He'd much prefer that to the alternative...]

video | =] ...also...LOL poor Kagerou
Kagerou...
[He shakes himself a bit, trying to recover, then shakes his head.]
N-no. Should I? [Okay, obviously a dumb question.] I...
Where are you?
video
[He shrugs a little, arms folded.]
No one else has. No one who came back.
At the temple I was assigned. Why?
video
[He's also not sure if he should mention that...]
Would you mind some company?
[He'd completely understand if Kagerou wanted nothing to do with him, considering the last time they'd seen each other. Or anyway, the last time Deckard knew of - apparently, Kagerou remembered differently. But he'd been here for a several hours now, and things had just kept getting stranger. Someone familiar would be beyond welcome at this point.]
video
[That's not usually the first thing anyone who shows up here asks him. Certainly not someone who doesn't know -- well. Him. He knew what happened. He was told a long time ago.]
[This is a surprise, and his calm exterior cracks.]
Is... that a serious question?
video
[Deckard doesn't outright facepalm, though it's probably visible in the slight flinch on his face. He certainly could have worded it better, but the need for some answers - and a familiar face - is hard to ignore.]
It is, but . . . never mind. I shouldn't have asked.
I can only guess that my memory banks have been tampered with. [That would also explain why he doesn't know or remember how he got here...wherever "here" really is. ] Is there some...facility I can go to? For some answers? Or a diagnostic? [Not that he's so sure he can trust anyone outside of Toudou and his engineering teams.]
video
[Even before, there'd... been some wariness. PJ hadn't taken to him well, either.]
[He shrugs a little.]
It happens to all of them. Even the living robots who return. There isn't anything that can be done.
[And no he's totally not bitter about that one.]
video
As I understand the situation, you were scared and looking for attention, just wanting to be heard. You were trying to draw out Shadowmaru. Or get to talk to either Toudou-san or Saejima-san. I can't say I approve of your methods, but...I can't blame you either. You just wanted a chance to live. If you have that now... [He shrugs.]
[Of course, that was before Shinjo had gotten his filthy hands on the guy. The vicious machine that had resurfaced was Kagerou's body but not Kagerou himself. Deckard knows that now. He's being careful how much he mentions, though, not knowing how much Kagerou's aware of.]
No one remembers...? Wait..."living" robots? What do you mean?
video
[He snaps the words out, his wings flaring. But checks himself at the last word, drawing his calm expression back into place. His voice smooths out, as well, neutral.]
Please. Don't assume so much. It's complicated... very complicated. That's what you believe, then, fine. No more needs to be discussed.
[Because Kay might see this.]
No. No one remembers. And yes. The robots here are alive. They have souls.
video
I only know what I was told. You're right, it is complicated...
[There's a wealth of things more he could say . . . but he won't. Kagerou's right. It's past now.]
[Except that he has a hard time believing he can't regain his memories. He's done it before. Twice. But the last derails anything he might have said.]
Souls!? Wha-how is that possible?
What is this place? Really?
video
[He says it almost defensively. Though part of him doubts there's going to be any argument. But just in case.]
I don't know. But that is what they say.
... their world. They call it Cybertron.
video | He'll be glad for Kagerou...once he figures out what he means. XD;;;
[That's completely thrown him. With as much alien-ness as he's been dealing with for the past few hours, his mind subconsciously assumes Kagerou is referring to the other inhabitants of this place, whomever they may be. The robots with souls, likely. However that's possible.
He still wants to know how Kagerou's Super A.I. was salvaged and he was rebuilt and brought here. But then, why is he defensive about it? He thinks Deckard would object?]I'm glad. As long as you're happy and they're treating you well.
...Cybertron. Yeah, that's what that drone or whatever it was said.
[So he really is on an alien planet? Great. Or this really is some elaborate hallucination after all, and for some reason whatever programmers are behind this decided to dredge of memories of Kagerou of all people to act as his liaison. He's actually not sure which is the less credible.]
[And his gas gauge is pinging at him, the needle sneaking into the red zone. He'd intended to fuel once he got to work, after dropping Yuuta off at school. He'd not been terribly active since then, but he had been up and about for a few hours.]
What do you do for gasoline here?
video
[... And Gunmax. The idiot. The stupid, obnoxious biker who made him so angry -- and thus strangely alive. But that also didn't bear thinking about. Since he'd vanished.]
I'm treated well enough.
["Happy". Well. Sometimes.]
There isn't any. Someone might have an emergency supply... but our engines were altered when we arrived.
video
[The description draws a grin from him despite his shock. But DAMN, how long has he been out!? He just saw everyone earlier this evening! Before going home with Yuuta for the night. ...didn't he?]
...they're the ones you meant. I see. Then I'm definitely glad.
[A hand goes to his chest. He doesn't know if he's been altered. He supposes he should get that checked.]
So what happens now?
video
[He nods slightly. He's careful to keep his arm off-screen. The arm bearing his Glyph. All this talk of modification...]
You find a medic to alter your engine. And... the rest of us see if there's any gasoline left.
video
Thank you, Kagerou. I'd appreciate that. How do I get a hold of the others? Or . . . if you talk to them, will you let them know that I'm looking for them?
video
[He'll poke his head in on PJ anyway. That dork probably could use a prod or two.]
... Watch out for the Cybertronian called Prowl. He is... we don't trust him.
[Well, and Tarn. But that guy is locked away.]
video
Noted. Do you have an image you can send me? What's he done to make you guys wary of him?
[Not that he doesn't believe Kagerou. If Power Joe and especially McCrane don't trust someone, that speaks volumes to him. But it's in his nature to question until he understands a situation as fully as possible. One more reason his current predicament is so difficult to deal with right now - every answer comes with three more questions.]
video
[Okay, Kagebird, you'll say you don't trust the guy right out in public, but not why. Good plan.]
[The other question earns a pause, before he does manage to forward over an image from the last video feed he'd had from Prowl.]
There.
video
[Deckard frowns a bit, wondering where Kagerou is that he doesn't feel safe to speak aloud. Oh, wait . . . maybe he means the channel they're talking on? He looks at his badge. He's so used to the Brave Police's frequency being a secure one, but . . . it occurs to him that he has no idea WHAT frequency they're broadcasting on now. Damn. He nods . . . then looks at the image that pops up on his little screen for a moment in place of Kagerou. He can see a doorwing behind the guy's shoulder, and the word "police" spelled out in English. He frowns.]
He's a police robot? [And his team doesn't trust the guy. That can't be a good sign.]
[He looks more closely at the screen. There's . . . a little icon in one corner that's never been there before. He fiddles with settings for a second, and the icon changes.]
[LOCKED]
Okay, I think . . . this transmission is secure now? If I'm reading this right.
Is there somewhere we can meet? I'd like to know more about this guy.
[Sorry, Kagerou . . . he's slipped into "detective" mode without really realizing it. This subconsciously sounds almost like a case to be investigated, so…]
video - Private
[He just answers the whole thing under a lock. It's easier that way.]
It is. And there is. I don't think anyone but myself goes to Trion's library any more.
