[Video] Paging the Build Team . . . and the nearest "hospital"?

[Deckard is nothing if not a quick study . . . though he's still not wholly convinced this isn't all just some elaborate sensory hoax. But he's been given some real direction ~~from a most unexpected source at that~~ and is running with it.]

Hello? I've been told to seek out a . . . medic. [Is that really the right word?] ...mechanical engineer. Or a robotics engineer. Someone who can modify an engine from running on gasoline to whatever is the common fuel source here.

[If he sounds - or looks - a little on the tired/haggard side, that would be because he's not fueled recently. He'd intended to fill up "tomorrow" when he got in to work, but he's been here for some hours now and he's starting to feel it. But he pushes that aside.]

Also, if anyone knows where the Build Team is, and if they're all right, I'd appreciate hearing from you. McCrane, Power Joe, and Drill Boy. ...and Dumpson. [Because he can hardly imagine three-quarters of the Build Team being present and not all of them.]

What took you so long to get here?

[Have a relieved-looking Deckard. He offers an apologetic shrug.]

I wish I knew. [a bothered frown] I've been here before, apparently . . . though I have no memory of it. I can't even find where there might be corrupted or missing files in my memory units.

Where are you? Are the others with you?

McCrane's probably at the Police HQ, same as Drill Boy.

And Kagerou is...yeah. Alive.

No, I don't…[And that bothers him. A /LOT/.]

[And yeah, he caught that you didn't answer where YOU are. He frowns a bit, worried, but will let it be for now.]

There's a police HQ here? Huh . . . I should probably go check in then.

Yeah, he . . . he's already contacted me. He said you guys have taken him in, which I'm glad…

Power Joe . . . what the heck is this place? Some kind of time sink or something? Sounds like you have been here for a long while but everything in my Super A.I. says it's only been a matter of hours since I bid all of you good night to take Boss home. And don't get me started on how many months it's been since Kagerou… What's going on?

[Don't worry, Deckard, he's been trying to behave. If you look in the background, you'll notice he's outside, just taking a drive. Nothing too big to report aside from the usua-okay he's up to something but let's not question it.]

Figures Kagebird would know you're here before us.

The best way I can explain it is some kind of alternate universe. Another world too. And we're all pulled to here from our worlds at different times, which explains Kagebird.

[Yyyyyyeah, no, dude. At home or on an alien planet, you're still a member of his team so he's still responsible for you, if only in his own reckoning. He's half-a-mind to press about what you're up to, but then the comments derail him COMPLETELY. Starting with the nickname, which gets a chuckle from him.]

"Kage-bird"?

[He shakes his head, getting back on-task, though there's still a small grin on his face.]

Different times, huh? Yeah, I . . . guess that explains it. But then what was your last experience before you got here. Like I said, I only just saw you a few hours ago.

At least . . . as far as I can remember . . .

Hehe, yeah. It's a little nickname we got for him. Figure since...we took him in and all, had to do the same I did for Drill Boy. Funny how that works, yeah?

[Are you proud of him? He's making friends.]

Yeah...that's how it is with everyone. But we're not missing anything back home. Time doesn't move.

[He's always proud of you, buddy.]

I'm glad you guys have taken him in. He deserves it.

So . . . what happens now?

[It occurs to him that he, ah . . . he has no one to direct him. It's weird and he's feeling a little lost, especially being in such an alien place on top of that.]

That's where it gets tricky, Deckard. See, we're technically under their law.

I'd talk to McCrane. I think he's in command here or something. Wanna rendezvous?

They? The Cybertronians, you mean?

[He nods - that would seem to go without saying, really. Doesn't hurt to have it confirmed, though.]

I'll be trying to make contact with McCrane next, yes. And, yeah, if you would.

[He won't actually say it, but YES, VERY MUCH SO is sparking through his Super A.I. The sooner he can connect with his team and get caught up to speed on things, the better.]

Where? If you'll give me coordinates, I'll find it.

That'd be them. I still don't trust 'em--or at least some of them. Some act like they're better than us because we're made by humans.

[With the very few exceptions.]

You got it, Deckard! I'm already out and about, so I'll come to you.

Hmn. Interesting reversal. [Since there are so many humans who think the same...for basically the same reason. "Just like home".]

[He shakes his head, dispelling that train of thought.]

All right. I'm at - [What is this called again?] - Alpha Trion's temple. I'll meet you outside.

Right. I'll meet you there, yeah?

[The feed clicks off at that, as Power Joe makes his way towards Alpha Trion's temple. It's a bit of a drive from Solus's, but...Deckard was here. It was worth it.

And thus, it isn't long before the Power Shovel arrives.]

Deckard?

[Deckard is waiting outside as he said he would. And . . . he can't help it, his face lights up at the sight of the familiar, bright-yellow power shovel. He pushes off the wall he'd been leaned on, approaching with a grin.]

Power Joe.

[Just the voice alone--in person, that is--is enough to make a smile spread on the power shovel's face.]

So. How much have you learned so far about this place, eh? Know about the Police HQ?

[Deckard steps up to Power Joe with a matching smile, catching his hand for a squeeze of greeting. Buddy, he's "this" far from just pulling you into a quick hug - it's REALLY good to see you too!]

I've been trying to learn as much as I can, though I don't know how to quantify that compared to what there still to learn. [He has every intention of getting himself up to speed on as much as possible just as quickly as possible, at least.] Yes, I do. I need to get to the Solus Temple for a modification for my engine, then I was going to head there to meet with McCrane. I just got done meeting with Kagerou.

[Who had some disturbing things to reveal...]

[The hug is well received-- it'd been awhile since he'd gotten anything like that. Prowl wasn't exactly hug-friendly, and he certainly didn't give a proper atmosphere for those around him.]

We'll go together. Solus is actually my temple home. I'll see if I can slip you in the medbay for a quick fix-up.

So you met Kagebird?

[You definitely get a strong hug, then, PJ. Deckard's kind of a tactile person. It comes from having handled and interacted with Yuuta so closely since about as early as he can remember.]

I'd like that. Talk on the way, then? My tank's getting pretty low. Slipping me in shouldn't be an issue, though. There's a robot named Barricade who should be expecting me.

[He grins at the nickname. That will probably never NOT amuse him.]

Yes, I did. He was the first one to contact me earlier when I first reached out on the network. He was explaining a little about this place and who's here - told me that you and McCrane and Drill Boy are here too. He . . . also warned me about another robot who's here. I met him here in person to discuss it further because he didn't feel safe discussing it over the comm.

[He looks at Power Joe.]

You know a robot named Prowl?

[It's all cool, Deckard. PJ's always been a physical contact guy himself. Although it's usually not as gentle as he's being right now. You get special treatment for that! Drill boy...he's not so lucky.]

Ah yeah, I think he's one of the medics. Let's not keep him waiting, yeah?

[There's another smirk, as he transforms back into his power shovel form, leading the way, although still alongside Deckard should he join him.]

...So you heard about Prowl, huh. What about him?

[Deckard transforms, easily letting Power Joe guide while he rolls alongside his friend.]

Kagerou said to be wary of him, that you and the others don't trust him. What can you tell me about that?

[Yeah, he keeps slipping into "detective on a case" mental mode. There's something going on here and, he may be brand new, but he can't ignore his nature, his duty. If there's a threat, he'd be remiss if he didn't face it head on.]

[The drive is...nice. It reminds him of back home, before he was transported here. Someone who understood how their world worked, without resorting to calling them toys or...not alive.

Deckard, you have no idea how much this means to him. Not that he'd openly admit it.]

He's shifty. I don't trust a guy who can't admit he might be wrong.

[Not that he's good at it either, but he at least DOES.]

[Whether overtly stated or not, Deckard might pick up on it to some extent or other. And he appreciates it too. He'd never turn down a drive with company, that's for sure.]

I see. Does he bother McCrane much, do you know?

[The wording that Kagerou had used was that McCrane seemed almost…afraid of him. Deckard wasn't going to go repeating that, though, not if he didn't have to.]

He sticks his nose in everyone's business, if you ask me. I bet it gets on McCrane's nerves at least a little. He never shows it though.

[Unlike PJ, who wears his neon-flashing-sign emotions on his sleeve.]

Yeah, I'd imagine that would get on my nerves too.

Power Joe . . . how long have you been here? What's the last thing that happened for you back . . . ah, back "home" I guess. [Wow, that sounds weird to say . . . it almost makes this place, and being here, "permanent" in a sense. "Real", if nothing else.]

He's the exact opposite of you, Deckard. How's that possible? I mean, we're built to be policemen, but they're born! So how come he's the more robotic one?

..

[But he shuts up, at that question.]
