[The link appears to have been... dropped. It's just sitting on the floor of a hallway in Trion's temple. There's a partial view of a nearby room, the door half-open and sitting strangely on its hinges. The room itself appears... trashed. Like the storm blew through the room as well as the Haven.]
[Everything is absolutely still. Absolutely silent.]
[For several minutes.]
[And then something slams itself down off-screen, hard enough to rattle the Link itself. It actually vibrates a few inches forward at the impact.]
[Someone laughs. There's no amusement in the sound, only smug satisfaction.]
Look! Look, look, look!
[The voice is probably familiar, but the cadence is all wrong. The speaker grabs the Link, jerking it toward the room.]
I did it. I did it so well too, didn't I? You thought you had me -- what was it? What was it? Are you punishing me? Is that it?
No, no. That won't do. I got out!
[More laughter. Delighted, echoing laughter.]
[And all of the sudden, a face pops on-screen, upside down. The smile it wears is sharp, harsh. It's... Kagerou?]
Aren't. You. Proud? Brave Police.
[There is a fevered light in his optics -- both of which are visible now, the scanner no longer marking half his face. And then the feed goes dark.]

Aren't. You. Proud? Brave Police.
[There is a fevered light in his optics -- both of which are visible now, the scanner no longer marking half his face. And then the feed goes dark.]
[action]
[And kicks out with his feet, to try and hit PJ, as the other tackles.]
[action]
But it's not easy, and Kagerou's skilled.]
Kagebird!
[action]
[And he is not weak.]
[He simply shrieks something incoherent, kicking his thrusters to life to try and wrench them out of the other's grasp. He lashes out with a fist, too, toward the side of PJ's head.]
[action]
Right now, he's going to beat him with his fists. It's more satisfying.]
AGH!!
[That fist connects with his helm, slamming into the wall and sinking down to the ground.]
[action]
[To win.]
[As PJ slams into the wall, he launches forward, hands curled like claws to tear at the yellow bot's frame.]
[action]
He couldn't back down now. Kagerou was going to fight til the end, and PJ wanted to end it here and now. He didn't know what was going inside the ninja's head, but at the moment, he didn't care.
And when Kagerou lunges at him, he rolls back, winding his legs up to give a kick away from him. To get some kind of distance.
Anything.]
[action]
[The kick sends him sprawling back into the opposite wall, leaving a painful crunch of impact. He lies there for a long minute, sprawled in a heap.]
[... and begins to laugh.]
[Slowly, he drags himself to his feet, wavering and laughing maniacally. His optics too bright.]
So much fight in you...!
[action]
Thankfully, his kick connects.
And hearing Kagerou laugh at that...]
Cause you're bein' a moron!
[action]
[And the laughing continues.]
You're being weak.
[action]
Why I oughta--
You're the weak one! You're acting all crazy!
[action]
[The laughter vanishes abruptly as it came. Replaced by a snarl.]
I'm not weak. I won. He lost. I won the right to live.
[action]
What are you talking about?! There wasn't any contest! You didn't win or lose!
You're just...Kagebird!
[Seriously, what's going on?]
[action]
You.
Deny it.
[He starts to advance on that last word, suddenly seething.]
[action]
I'll smack some sense into ya, one way or another. It's...it's what friends do, okay?
[So...sorry in advance.]
[action]
[He lunges, then, teeth bared, wings arched.]
[Like he intends to bite PJ again.]
[action]
[That arm raises up to take the brunt of that bite, feeling the teeth pratically dent his armor. It's painful, but he's not going to give into it.]
I'm giving one one chance. ONE. CHANCE.
[action]
[He all but claws forward, fingers raking at PJ's armor.]
[action]
Hand hand slides up, so Kagerou's teeth are about to place themselves onto his fingers. Only before that can happen, PJ's hand turns into a fist, shoving itself into Kagerou's throat, putting all his force behind it. His goal is to knock him back.
And then attempt to pin. If he can get those wings on the ground, he's got this.]
[action]
[Except then he half-chokes on the other BP's hand, his optics going wide and startled. His hands claw at Power Joe's arm again, kicking at him, trying to chew those fingers off.]
[It doesn't work, and he starts to topple backward.]
[action]
And when Kagerou falls back, he puts his full weight on him. Like Dumpson would do in their wrestling practice.
He was never any good at it.]
GOT YOU.
[action]
[When Power Joe's weight settles on him, he does the only thing he can think to do. He writhes like a snake, bucking his whole body up, jerking hips and waist and legs under PJ...]
[Either to weird him out or throw him off. Hard to say.]
[action]
For a split second, PJ lets go of that grip on him.
Only long enough for him to realize his mistake.
Quick, make your move.]
[action]
[But he doesn't seem satisfied, with just escaping.]
[He springs at PJ once more, looking to pin him for a change, to ride him down onto the floor and hold him there.]
[action]
There's a screech, almost foreign from the Build Team member as he tries to fight those teeth off him. And when he sees that paint spit out...
That hard-headed bot just doesn't give up. It's a wrong move, though, because no sooner had he continued to fight, Power Joe can feel himself hit the ground.
He doesn't go down easy, though, writhing like a wild animal fighting for it's life.]
[action]
You have such a good scream.
[BECAUSE THAT'S NOT CREEPY.]
[He tries holding onto PJ's limbs to keep him down, spreading his wings for balance.]
