[Barricade is sitting on the cell bench with his legs extended out, slowly kicking one foot. Something that he is once again extremely grateful for. He grins in return (yay he has lips again!).]

Been hearing about a pillar showing up. That happen about the time everyone became alternate dimension versions of themselves?

I don't think anyone knows for sure, but it would seem so. I think it arrived with or just after that massive storm that blew through here.

...there's speculation that it's the cause of the changes that so many people experienced. To my knowledge, though, no one's figured out how. Or what to do about it.

To my knowledge, gods of chaos don't give out their secrets for switching people with their dimensional doubles. If he's the one that left it, that is.

But at least folks are workin' on it, right? So sooner or later, something is gonna get done.

Mm. They call him Unicron the Destroyer. [Barricade waggles his claws for emphasis.] Where there is Primus the Creator - the one that made Cybertron and the FirstForged - there is always Unicron, because they have issues with one another.

With a few exceptions, they have fought across every dimension that Cybertronians inhabit. And they are here too; the Lambda was - far as I c'n figure - made by Unicron, and without Glyphs we'd be his agents here.

Doubtless he sent the Pillar to take us out of commission. We're dangerous to his success in his war.

You're sure such beings actually exist?

I am. And I'm certain. I've met a mech'r two that worked directly for Unicron. And the FirstForged? Well.

They're basically demigods in their own right.

[He's silent for a moment, recalling his encounter with Prima. While he's not prepared to call the great being a "demigod", he does admit that he seemed extremely powerful.]

"The Destroyer", hm? How are we dangerous to him? All of us, or just Cybertronians?

Because all of the living serve Primus, no matter what they do or if they realize it. And everything that we're doing here - the buildings, the exploring, the laws, all of it - helps ready the world to be Primus's body in this dimension.

Which I'm pretty sure Unicron doesn't want. At all. He'll slow us down, turn us, or kill us, to make sure Primus doesn't get a foothold.

[As far as he's heard anyway.]

Others would know more than me, though. Everything I know's been from stories supplied by other folks.

[Honestly, it all sounds like much of the same doctrine as some of the religions on Earth.]

I believe what I've seen. And what I've seen is a lot of incredibly powerful agents of Unicron attempting to recruit me to destroy various things... this planet included... and taking my decision of 'no' very poorly.

It was a long while back. One of my friends... was who he used to be. I didn't join him as an agent of Unicron and he took a lot of offense. With his fists and a rifle.

[And Barricade won't say it, but he'd hoped it didn't end with him just incredibly injured at the time.]

But even if they could be, I wouldn't want charges brought against him.

[The frown's still in place, but Deckard nods, accepting that. After all, haven't they all just gone through essentially the same thing –people being affected and committing acts that they'll not be charged for because it's understood they themselves weren't at fault?]
