[So you're the good cop. He was wondering when one of those would show up. With Barricade and Prowl, it's mainly been Not Cop and Bad Cop. He seems to almost shrug off Deckard's advice, looking into his glass.]

[Although the way he says 'officer', it's more like a nickname.]

[To be honest, he hadn't even thought that far. He'd planned to be here at least the majority of the day, drinking or not.

[Deckard knows that's far from healthy for humans. He doubts it's much better for Cybertronians ~~at least you can't get alcohol poisoning or something, so there's that, right?...right??~~ He sighs.]

[Humans and Cybertronians really DO have too much in common. The lack of alcohol poisoning is a plus, but the hangovers are probably worse.]

[His own grin turns wry, almost rueful, at that last. He can't help recalling what Power Joe's told him, and the dark warning he got from Kagerou clear back on his very first day here.]

So I keep hearing. And yes, I'm with McCrane. We're from the same world, along with Power Joe, Kagerou, and . . . and Drill Boy.

[Whom he's refusing to believe is actually gone and not just MIA somehow until he has proof.]

[It's okay Deckard. It's your first loss. Wheeljack'll give you all the time you need to deny it. He's had too many to even count on both hands. Not that he knows what's going on inside your head, but if he did...]

Got it. So...the non-Cybertronians but still somehow not a talkin' wrench.

[There have been a few ~~Azuma-sama~~ with whom a comparison like that would have upset him. Because he /knew/ it was meant to be an insult somehow. But the rough, friendly flippancy of Wheeljack's tone just earns an amused laugh.]

[He sobers a little at the last, nodding.]

[He did mean it in the best way too. He didn't really give too much of a scrap about how alive something was. If it could think, and chose their side (or at least something close), could he really complain about an extra pair of hands?

If they could accept humans, they could accept this.]

[Maybe before, he'd have said differently. But now...the word 'Autobot' means slightly more to him.

What, ya mean the Autobots? I mean, I could, just not too elegant with my words. Seems more like Optimus Prime's area of expertise.
