[It's a relatively short broadcast. Wheeljack seems to be making a lot of those recently.

[And it looks like he's already started. There's a small tower of cubes lined up.]

[After cutting the connection, and finishing up convos with others, Bulk had headed for the hub. Frag it felt good to be back in his original alt-mode. Once he's at the hub, he transforms up and walks inside. When he spots Wheeljack, he heads over to him.]

Hey, hope I didn't take too long.

[His head lifts up when he hears Bulkhead's voice, giving a soft smirk as the bot walks over.]

Got started without ya. Didn't think you'd mind, though.

[He stands up a moment, giving Bulkhead a little nudge against his armor in affection. Words (or words Wheeljack knows) can't really describe how it feels to be back to normal. Just the idea of being who he was...it made his plating shiver.]

So...spacebridges, huh.

Nah, long as you saved me some.

[The affectionate nudge makes his features soften, and he smiles nudging back with a chuckle. It's good to see him back to himself. Not just from whatever the pillar did. But from his injuries from the last fight as well.

His expression turns amused, though, before he speaks.]

Yeah, hard to believe huh? I can build, but certainly not Spacebridges.

Bout as hard to believe as me buildin' time machines...inside us.

[His face, it's almost like he senses the crazy around what he's saying. A physicist, Wheeljack is not. It's soon covered, though, with some high grade as he sits back down.]

...Lost another Wrecker.

Gotta admit, your flashing audials were a sight to see.

[It was weird, but it was amusing at the same time, Specially now that he looks back on it. But the amusement dies quick as moves to grab a cube. He sits down a little heavily, that's for sure. Good thing the seats were made well.]

What, no. He looks down, closing his eyes for a moment. Even after so many, his spark still sinks a little at the news. Specially since it's a Wrecker.] Who was it?

[As if upon mention, his hand moves up to his audials, smirking. He remembers that--as well as when he'd first gotten here. He'd met the other version of himself, hadn't he. Saw that and thought it was the stupidest thing ever.

And here he was, having just experienced it.

The mood's soon to die though, when Bulkhead's question arises. This hurt more than usual, because this one had actually saved his life. He wouldn't have lived to tell the tale (for a week) about disabling Tarn if he hadn't of--]

Swoop.

[The thought of the audials, though, is pushed aside as he hears the name. Really, he should be used to this happening. Accepted that it's something that they evidently have no control over. But with some bots it still hit close to home.]

Fraggin'...

[He pounds a fist on the table, before lifting it to rub his hand over his face. He gives a frustrated vent. Damn it, he owed that 'bot a lot for what he did during that battle. Providing cover, and distracting Tarn long enough for him to get Wheeljack to safety. The guy nearly got killed himself in the process.]

Why's it so often the good bots. [He drops the hand, and opens his eyes again, staring at his cube.] Why can't it be guys like Tarn, or Starscream. [It's muttered more to himself, but it's audible. Not that the thought of a guy like him being in some army in the badlands waiting to strike, is any better. But they didn't belong in Haven. Yet, they remained, while others disappeared.]

You and me both.

[He honestly would pay good money (if money were a thing) to see Tarn disappear. Starscream too, as long as we're punching in requests. If he was going to be stuck in this place, he'd rather be with some of the guys he actually liked. And once that would probably actually take part in the fight against Unicron.

There's another quiet sip as Bulkhead talks to himself, swirling the cube idly.]

Nothin' makes sense in this place, Bulk. You know that.

[Oh there's plenty of others he'd pay to see gone too. Or pay to never show up here. He also hopes the ones he wants to stay here stop leaving.

He used to wish more from their world would show up here too. They deserved to be here too. To see a Cybertron still in it's infancy, not yet ravaged by war. But now...he hopes they never come. To save him from the weirdness, the heart-break of watching people disappear like this. Or the worse fate of winding up in the badlands.]

Yeah, I know. Been here a year, and it's almost like it's timed or something. Somethin' happens like every couple of months. [Something major anyway. Like the pillar. Minor stuff happens way too often.] Makes you appreciate what you have. Who's been through it with you. [He reaches out a hand to put it on Wheeljack's shoulder, eyes brightening some.] Glad you been here with me, Jackie. [He knows it's been as hard on the other Wrecker as it has been for him. If not more so.]

[New people were met with supreme apathy now. In fact, the ones who'd been here longer, the ones more prone to disappearing...they were the only ones he could count on. Because chances are, if they were going to disappear, they'd have done it by now.

A year...that'd be a little bit longer for Wheeljack. The thought of it made his spark ache slightly, the fact that he'd been stuck on this rock for way longer than he'd ever wanted.

There's widened eyes at the hand on his shoulder, as if snapping back to reality. The words are beyond comforting, even bringing a smile back to those scarred lips. Almost...humbled.]

Heh, someone's gotta. You'd be completely busted on your own.

[It was definitely for the best. The newer people were more prone to disappearing. Rarely lasted long at all. Only the stubborn hung on. Bulk himself was more stand offish to new people now. While he tried to still be friendly to them a little, he didn't smile that often at them. And the thought of those they'd lost, specially who he'd lost from his own world, made his spark hurt just at the thought.

But people in his inner circle, he smiles at readily, jokes, and is far more relaxed with them most of the time. Because they get it, they've been through it like him. Experienced what he has, of what this place does.

As he said to Solus that one time, it's been a hell of a year. So much happened, so much changed. It feels like it's been longer than a year.

He sees the startled look, and he smiles, eyes and expression softening.]

Yeah, you definitely done a good job is not letting me get busted. Been there for me to lean on. Dunno how to repay ya, except for being there for you too. [Which both feels like enough, and not nearly enough at the same time.]
