[His expression changes slightly.]

[The slight expression change is enough to let Chromedome know that he wasn't the only one left with things to think about. He wants to press at it some more, but he knows better.]

[A hand appears in front of the camera and he flexes it, causing the broken needle nubs to show up. He waits for the inevitable explosion.]

[He wasn't that Prowl, and that never became clearer in the second change that came to his expression as soon as the broken needles slipped on screen.]

[There was no explosion - not externally, anyway. There's no doubt he was ready to bathe Chromedome in a vitriolic stream of insults to his intelligence for going through with this.]

[No. Instead, his optics seemed to be sucked dry of any empathy that had remained upon reminiscing on their past weeks. There was just a cold glacier staring back.]

[Chromedome seems unbothered by Prowl's cold stare, it's not like he was expecting anything else.]

[A shiver of fear crawls up his spinal struts and he suddenly wonders what Prowl had wanted to talk to him about.]

I have captured a spy that'd been monitoring us for the past few weeks. Since erasing his memories is now out of the question, I'll need to find other methods of taking care of this problem.

That doesn't change my stance on the present.

I didn't expect it to.

[Chromedome erases everything that hurts too much to keep. He knows this about himself, and some part of him wonders what other things he's erased in the past. Thing is, if he's erased it, that means it hurt. He never wants to find out what he's gotten rid of.]
