[Accidental Video] [Backdated to the 22nd]
[So...that date didn't go as planned, and it's just sinking in now that it was even a date at all. The fact that he'd worked hard to get up the courage to ask, let alone show up...that was enough for his A.I. to handle. But this planet...much like back home, found a way to make that a false hope. Something he'd never really get. It's a bit of a downer, really.
Enough to make him pout at the junkpile. Why the junkpile? So he could toss things around in his power shovel form if he needed to release his anger externally. This way...no one got hurt. As for right now, though, he's curled up, sitting among a bunch of odds and ends, starting into the distance.]
...
[It'd hurt less if he hadn't arrived her moments after Lua.]
Hate this place.

audio;
[How does he tell Ironhide? It's hard admitting your father figure is right, even when you know you messed up.]
That pillar.
audio;
Sit tight, you hear me?
audio;
You don't have to..
audio;
audio;
Fine fine...
Don't take to long, old man.
audio;
[But he's going to hurry along anyway.]
action;
...
action;
[Ironhide plunks down next to him without ceremony. Just waiting.]
action;
He can't keep the act up long.]
My date didn't go so well.
action;
[He doesn't put any judgment in the words. No "i told you so". Just a noise of understanding.]
[Waiting for PJ to go on.]
[He can wait.]
How bad?
action;
[And then, a little fit. It's not directed at Ironhide, though, more at his own general frustration.]
I open the door, and it's not her who's there, but HIM.
Arcee was a HIM.
action;
[He scowls. And then it dawns on him. The Pillar. Great. He huffs, reaching out to rest a hand on PJ's shoulder, in a consoling manner.]
That ain't your fault though, kid.
action;
He just had to take his punches and nurse them.
But at the hand on his shoulder, he looks up.]
Not hers either. So...who do I blame?
action;
[He keeps his hand where it is, even though he turns to look out over the junk.]
[It's a long moment before he speaks, turning the words over and over in his head. He's got to do this delicately. But... Ironhide's not a delicate sort.]
Something you can hit. [He nods, to himself.] Yeah. Blame something you can hit. Then, go hit it.
action;
Like...that sign over there?
[He leans in a bit towards Ironhide as one hand reaches out, pointing towards a broken, slightly rusty sign in the distance. It was kind of relieving, dealing with the effects of the problem rather than the problem itself.
A bit of fresh air, so to speak.]
action;
[He looks over at where PJ's pointing. Oh. His free hand rubs at his chin as he nods.]
Yeah, sure, that'll work. Just pretend it's the Pillar or somethin' like that. Hit it hard as you can.
[This'll work. This will totally work, right?]
action;
[There's a soft smile. It's weak, like a flame just about to go out. But it's remaining strong as he gets up, slowly walking towards it.]
Heh, looks nothing like the pillar. I'll have to really try hard, yeah?
action;
[He heaves himself up, following along with him a few paces behind.]
Could always find somethin' more... pillar-like. If you want.
action;
Well, that didn't take long. PJ's arm reeled back, and before you know it, the sign was now a shadow of what it once was.
There was...a lot of pent up anger, apparently.]
Think I'm gonna need another sign if we don't.
action;
[He looks so proud of you, PJ. Atta boy. What a punch. Look how proud you just made your not-dad.]
[He even thumps PJ on the back, once, before starting off toward another pile.]
Good one! Lemme go find you some scrap.
action;
You really think so, old man?
[And like a little duckling, he follows the bot.]
action;
[Even without turning around, he hears PJ brighten up. Good. It suits him better than moping does.]
[Eventually, he hauls something out of the scrap. It's huge and heavy. Rounded. Like a giant barrel with rods and tubes sticking out of one end.]
... That'll do.
[Without further ado, he jams the rods into the ground so that the object is sitting upright. Like a big punching bag.]
Have at it.
action;
[It's a joke, and he braces himself for the impact of a smack should there be one. Still, he's in a better mood already. Ironhide that kind of effect on him.
But when Ironhide sets up that 'punching bag' for him, his eyes brighten up, looking at it.]
Just...wail on it?
action;
Smart-aft punk.
[He gestures at the "bag".]
Yep. Go for it.
action;
You have no idea how much it means to him, Ironhide.]
Okay, I'm on it.
[And don't mind if he does? Soon that 'bag' is getting the beatdown of it's lifetime.
Hate to be that thing, right now.]
