Was everyone who went to check on the Pillar altered somehow...?
What happened down there?
[He hesitates. It hasn't really seemed like anything good came out of going down there. Except for, you know, the whole No More Pillar thing.]
...
If there's anything that I can do... I will. Police should help those in trouble. Shouldn't they?

[He nods a little, looking off at something else.]
Right. I'll be there.
For correcting me. For reminding me of your primary forte.
[If he's misinformed or in error, he wants to know.]
See you back at HQ, Kagerou.
[With that, he'll head out for patrol. And as there's no trouble, he'll make it back when he estimated too.]
[He doesn't really know how to react to all this. So he'll just go wait.]
[Action]
[Deckard returns and heads for Blurr's office. He's still not comfortable in there and probably never will be. It's not his. But Blurr told him to use it in his absence so he's doing so.]
[Action]
[So there he is, on the edge of the desk, staring down at the floor.]
[Action]
I hope I haven't kept you waiting too long.
[Action]
No. I wasn't here long.
[His optics flash as he speaks, in lieu of his mouth moving. Almost exactly identical to how Shadowmaru's
dogwolf form functioned.]What exactly did you wish to talk about?
[Action]
[The flashing eyes always amuse him. Even if it /is/ really little more than the equivalent of his or the others' headlights doing the exact same thing when they're in vehicle form.]
[The question wipes the amusement, however, his expression turning grimmer.]
You wanted to know what happened when we went down to destroy the Pillar…?
[Action]
[He flicks his wings, before curling on the corner of the desk. Like he's nesting right there or something.]
[His head cocks.]
No one's been very forthcoming.
[Action]
No one?
[That surprises him a little. It's not like it was a secret. But then . . . a number of people are dealing with yet more invasive, disturbing effects from the cursed thing, and even those who aren't had a difficult time. Maybe it's just that no one's really /wants/ to talk about it.]
[He vents air from his fans in an imitation of a sigh, a subconscious habit he learned from Yuuta. There are two chairs at the front of the desk, facing it. Deckard heads for the one at the other front corner from Kagerou's perch, so he's not sitting practically right under the robo-bird. Without thinking about it, he moves to give the avian's back a quick pet between the wings as he passes –a friendly gesture, a point of connection –but he catches himself, making a mental note that he should…probably stop doing that. He's just so used to the openness and connection he shares –shared? –with the others. He settles in the chair.]
Where to start . . . ?
There's an elevator of sorts in Prima's temple that goes down into some impressive subterranean caverns. Apparently, it needs a special power to operate it, though. Ventus . . . Optimus Prime . . . and . . . Hot Rod? [Is he remembering their names right? He thinks so. Ventus is the only one he'd met before this.] - have the power, so they let people down in groups. There's a lot of technology down there, ancient and built right into the rock. Honestly, I would have liked to have had a chance to explore that some –I know others would have too, even more so –but . . . we had a job to do.
We found a chamber where the light from the walls themselves was so bright, it was blinding. But there was a crack in one wall, and a . . . it looked like the root of a massive tree. But it was stone and had carvings on it like the Pillar. A couple people –Hot Rod and . . . a red robot, I didn't catch his name, and two scientists - they stayed to study that while the rest of us continued. Rose and Double-Oh-Four have some kind of unerring direction sense or something. If they know what they want to find, they can just go right to it. So they're the ones who led the rest of us to the base of the Pillar.
[His voice drops a little lower, getting softer.]
It was so . . . dark down there. Beyond the usual. It was . . . unnaturally dark, like a thick, oppressive blanket . . .
[It was unlike anything he'd ever experienced before –or hoped to again –and his voice trailed off for a moment.]
[Action]
[No one really... does that. No one has done that since he last spent time with --]
[He catches himself before he can finish that thought, instead hunkering down to listen. It all sounds fairly serious, so it would be best to remember everything he can. So... some of the temples can go below the ground. If you're part of them.]
[Interesting.]
And then what happened?
