[The feed flickers to life and Ratchet peers into the communicator he has, tinkering with it. At least it's working... somewhat. He looks like he has woken up in the temple of Solian Temple.]

Blasted thing. My own communications aren’t working. It must be scattered or something. [The video flickers and Ratchet smacks it a few more times, to make it focus again, grumbling under his breath as he looks around.]

Ultra Magnus, Bumble Bee, if anyone can hear this, I require assistance. I don’t know if you can triangulate my transmission and find my exact location or not, but-- Oh, what am I saying?

[He rubs at his face, his mind raking for ideas.]

That bot said this is Cybertron but... it's not one I'm familiar with. [He pauses with a heavy sigh passing through his vents.]

For all I know, I could be just talking to myself with this thing.

I heard from one of the miners' security detail that you called yourself that once. I also heard about a miner you, uh. Interrogated.

He was slightly traumatized.

I. Mostly know Vehicons, I admit.

I do not recall this 'Doctor Doom' name.

But that miner. I apologize for what had happened. I was under the influence of unstable Synthetic Energon. It had unwanted side effects.

[Another pause.]

So... you're a Decepticon.

I thought I'd heard it was Synthetic Energon. Well... that stuff has weirder side effects than that. If I ever see that miner again, I'll. Let him know you send your apologies.

Yeah. I am. But we're not all Starscream. Or Megatron. We're not all... [He huffs quietly.] We're not all officers.

And I hear there's no war going on.

There's not. Not here, anyway. And if you try to start one you usually end up in jail.

We try to work together, mostly. There's still a lot of people that... aren't willing, though.

To help improve this version of Cybertron. There's a Police Force and a Law Committee that are trying to keep some kind of order, and I'm part of the Road Crew that's trying to. Well, build roads.

Supposedly we're here to help prepare the planet for Primus's arrival.

[Wait what.]

When is he supposed to arrive?

Yeah. But I dunno when he's supposed to get here. Just that... he hasn't yet.

And Unicron wants to stop him from ever getting here. I think. I think we were supposed to help him do that, but we've all got glyphs from the FirstForged so he can't use us.

And so if we don't have these glyphs, he'll use us.

[That's not comforting.]

How does one 'lose' a glyph?

Well. Technically if we don't have them we kind of... go insane and turn into monsters.

Some people came through without one, before. It's been a long while. But I guess you could cut it off or cut off your arm to get rid of it. No one's really tried to lose one before.

[Internal screaming, because that was a scary thought. It was almost like...]

Do they show symptoms of being infected by Dark Energon? 'Zombie-like' attributes?

Oh geeze, no! Nothing like that, thank goodness.

[Augh don't remind him of those, they're horrible D:]

What I saw, they started getting... aggressive. And acting erratically.

No physical changes? Just emotional ones?

Mostly emotional, but I only ever saw them over the Link when things started going wrong.

Some of the others might know more, but... most people don't really talk about it.

And why don't they talk about it?

Isn't there a way to stop such a thing from happening? Maybe it's some sort of aliment.

Well, those were their friends that were Glyphless. And they had to be put down.

I don't blame them for not wanting to think about it.

We have no idea. Honestly, as far as the Glyphs go, we just know that they work, and sometimes they change.

[That sounds pretty horrific and it takes a while for Ratchet respond.

But he soon speaks up once more.]

Do the glyphs benefit us in some way, besides telling us which Temple we belong to?

[Fracas was blessed with not knowing anyone at that point. Though he understands the feeling after that whole 'Terrorcons all over the Nemesis" incident.]

They do. Depending on how how bright it is, you get... powers, kind of. Which also depends on who you're aligned to.

You're a Solus alignment, so you'll get powers related to stuff like construction and medical work.
