[It had taken a moment or two..maybe it was three--he really couldn't say--but when everything had finally settled and he'd gotten most of his bearings back, realization hit him as he peered at the mark on his arm.

He'd seen that mark before. Primus it had been awhile but he'd had that mark on his arm before.

Pushing himself up, Smokescreen had tried to activate his navigation systems but nothing was working right and he had no idea how long it had been since he'd been here before. Looking around didn't really help with his problem, considering he was pretty sure he was in the middle of the Badlands.

Lucky, it seemed like his comms were still working, though they were full of static.

It was something though.]

[Man he hoped someone would be able to understand this.]

Not sure--w-w-where I am. Badlands--? Navigation systems not---king.

[The reply doesn't come right away, Smokescreen distracted by telling Ratchet about some pretty bad stuff.

But whn he does finally get a chance to reply, he sounds relieved.]

You still have your memories. [If the use of the nickname is any indication.] But you look different, rookie. I have seen that blue paintjob before, though. I'm glad to know we are on the same page.

[He grins a bit.]

Glad to hear that.

He arrived recently too. Him and Starscream are the only ones from our same time, Bulkhead, Wheeljack and Shockwave are still behind us. It's better not to tell them.

Ratchet's still there with you?

Yeah he mentioned that I should keep quiet about what took place at home.

No, Ratchet's still lingering. But he's not great company.

I'm sure the right time line will catch up on them eventually. We need to watch out for the day they ass our for a week.

I see. [He looks slightly disappointed.] Why are you in Solus's temple, though. I thought you were one of Alpha Trion's. Are you injured? If that's the case I shoudl come give you a proper check up.

I'm..not sure I'm looking forward to when they do. Well--no, I am but I'm not, if that makes sense.

This is just where Ratchet brought me--is he with Solus? And I am Trion! He just won't let me leave. Says he wants to make sure my systems are all working right.

But you could come check if you wanted. A second opinion never hurts.

Yes, it seems like Solus enjoys collecting medics.

[He walks inside the medbay a few minutes later. He assumed ratchet dragged Smokescreen here rather than his own room.]

[As soon as the red bot walks in, Smokescreen is up off his berth, doorwings twitching contently as he grins happily at the other. There's a glow in his optics though, a look that says just how happy he is to see the other--a true happiness and not just a 'hey you're a good frag I missed you' sort of happy.

Someone cares about the former Decepticon a little more than he's been letting on~]

[That takes Knock Out aback and his annoyance goes away immediately. He blinks, realizes that he stopped walking and then acts nonchalant again.]

Missed me, uh, rookie? [Looking at Smokescreen up and down, Knock Out checks for any visible injuries.]

Of course I did! I mean..you were back home too but it wasn't--you weren't...you. I guess. I'm not sure how to word it.

[He draws back a bit, doorwings twitching as he gets a rather sheepish look on his face.]

Sorry...

I know, I know...I went back too and then I awoke here again. [He rubs the back of his helmet. Boy, wasn't all that awkward at some points.

He grins after a minute and approaches Smokescreen. What is personal space?] At least we had fun with the phase shifter? I got you all trapped and vulnerable~

I'm not sure I would call that fun, cherrybomb. I mean, you were kind of siding with Starscream at that point.

[He's not angry though, the grin never wavering as he can't help but just absently keep touching the other, hands stroking down his sides.]

But..we're all on the same team now, even if it doesn't really have a name anymore...and you and I are here again.

It was all a trick. [He's not frowning or pouting but it looks like a mix of both.] ..I helped in the end, didn't I? And I unstuck you from that wall.

[He's aware he's made some really crappy decisions in his life but a bot has to survive somehow. He was not really made for combat. Would you ruin something as precious as his finish with fighting? He had his wits instead.]

Yeah. Life's really odd, isn't it. [He looks down, smiling softly.]Who would have guessed...
