[Well that was the… oddest thing he’s woken up to in a while. He doesn’t usually wake up on an alter with robbed figures standing around apologizing for him being somewhere. A different Cybertron? Different how? That sounds impossible. He only waited around long enough for what they said to get boring and then he left. Now he has to figure out how to work this thingy he has. Hrm… what does this do…?]

Skylynx? Are you here, Skylynx?

[The sound of one claw tapping on the Link comes through before the video flicks on, showing bright yellow optics and a lean face crowned with horns. Those optics blink a couple times as the owner of the Link leans back slightly.]

I am trying to find my brethren, Skylynx. He is silver and blue, with red accents, and is about my height. [He pauses, snickering.] But he is not nearly as pretty as I am.

If you have seen him in his other form, I am sure you know. Tell him that Darksteel wishes to find him.
Skylynx if you hear this, I am coming to find you.

[He shuts off his Link and shortly after something that looks remarkably like a robotic gryphon can be seen flying out from Vector’s temple, in a spiral that becomes increasingly wide until it ceases all together. He can’t help it if he’s catching sight of things he’s curious about. What is all of this, he’s never seen a Cybertron like this one. His is certainly less… new than this one.]

Yes. That's right. ... Except I don't know any "Predaking".

[Not that Starscream though Predaking was a success but Starscream is a meanie anyway.]

He named and freed himself from Starscream's abuse, and then he freed Skylynx and I from the same.

[He hunches up a little, folding his wings.]

... I understand. Very much. I hope he is here, for your sake, then. Being without someone so important is hard.

A little in the war, but not for long. But when Starscream didn't approve of the job Skylynx or I were doing, he would shock us with a prod.

[Darksteel crosses his arms over his chest almost protectively. Do Not Want more shocks.]

I hope he is here too. ... The one you care for, they are not here?

He would... shock you? For not doing as he wanted? And no one stopped him?

[That's Not Okay.]

No... he -- he isn't here. [It's difficult to say, even after all this time.]

Or for doing it wrong. There was no one to stop him. Shockwave was occupied with cloning more of us.

[And when one of them stood up for the other they usually got shocked too. Not that it stopped them, stubborn babies.]

Oh. I am sorry, then. It... cannot be easy for you, being here without him. [He can't imagine how that feels.]

That isn't right. Shocking someone is... that's too much for a mistake.

[Since, for someone like him, it could pretty much put him out cold for a long time.]

[He doesn't answer that right away, though, folding his arms across his chest and shrugging, as if it were nothing.]

It isn't. It ... hurts. And it doesn't stop.

So I hope that, for your sake, your partner is here.

Predacons are tough. And Starscream will not be doing that again, to anyone. If he tries to do that to someone here he will be stopped.

[It hurt every time, but that made giving Starscream that hurt in return so much sweeter.]

As do I. I hope yours arrives; I would not wish being alone on anyone. [Especially someone that reminds him of he and his brethren. Hrm...] I know I am not one of your brethren, but should there be anything you need...

You should be careful with how you do so. The police force... they're meant to arrest those who attack unprovoked.

[He'd know. He's on the force.]

I wouldn't either... but. It's been so long. I don't know if hope is worth it anymore. [He blinks, looking startled.] But you... you barely know me.

[Well that's totally lame. But he guesses he'll have to figure out more about this place before he does anything about Starscream.]

I am not familiar with the... 'police force'. Or arrests.

Predaking had to wait a long time, too, so you never know. [Darksteel shrugs a little.] I know you better than I did the Autobots when I helped them. And you seem nice.

Police are those who uphold laws -- rules -- somewhere they are given to protect. If you break those rules, they take you to prison. You're locked up, for a time, as punishment.

[He's very matter-of-fact about it. That's just the way the world is supposed to work.]

Nice... you're... kind to think so.

Oh. That sounds boring. Prison, I mean. There are... no other methods for punishing people for breaking the rules?

[Because if that's it, policing sounds boring all around. Not that hunting for bones was ever particularly thrilling, but still.]

[His head ducks, but the corner of his mouth twitches a little.]

Have you considered something else? Will you not run out of space if lots of people break the rules?

[Darksteel grins and practically chirps.]

[Wow those are actually good questions and did he just chirp.]

Huh. Well, if I meet him I will ask him. That seems like it would be important.

[Chirping ancient dinosaur-gryphon-dragon-robots. What is this planet coming to?]

Excellent! And I am sure that Skylynx will agree when I find him, so then it will be three of us.

You should, yes. He's smart... if he doesn't already know, he'll figure something out.

[Because it would be really bad to start off the conversation after pouncing on McCrane, probably.]

His plating is purple. And yellow. His alternate mode is a crane, and his optics are green. As mine is.

[Well, one of them, anyway.]

Purple and yellow with green optics. He should not be hard to find, then! I have never seen someone with optics like yours.

[Where one is different than the other. Or green ones, for that matter.]

No one I have met has had a green optic. Yellow, blue, and red I have seen - and purple, but that is the Demon's color. I have not met someone that has two different optics, either.

[Darksteel thinks you are special. Now what?
