Perhaps this is a foolish question, but, considering I've never collected any data on the subject...

[Perceptor's where he always is, typing away at his console. Though his attention appears to be on the Glyph on his arm.]

... While we're all aware these markings possess certain effects, should we attract the attention of our "hosts"... has anyone experienced any sort of negative effect, pertaining to the changing of one's brand?

[The cube is caught...and latched onto voraciously, the energy draining from it quickly as he hunches over it almost instinctively. It's better than doing the alternative...but right now he's not thinking about that. He's trying to focus on the cube.]

[His optics glance up as it drains, meeting Perceptor's and trying to focus through the haze. He needs to get away.]

[He chokes out, and tosses the empty cube on the floor.]

[And with that, he is going to turn and BOLT to put as much distance between him and Perceptor's tempting glow as he can.]

[He grabs randomly and wildly for another one, just in case. If one helped, then, maybe another would be even better? As frightening as this is, he does... well. This Autobot is a friend.]

[Which is more than he can say for a lot of bots he's known.]

[He just wordlessly holds up the other cube as he stares back, a little panicked, uncertain, and damned worried by what he's seeing.]
