[The feed starts up with a shout in panic paired with a laugh as the two boys tear across the small field that's been set up for the chickens. Practically at their heels is one very irate rooster.]

I told you not to bother him!

[and for someone running away from the irrate squawking? Sora doesn't look like he's in a state of panic. well... not much anyway.]

You didn't say he'd chase us!

I kinda thought it'd be implied-

[Another shrill squawk from the rooster has Ventus glance back.]

Aw come on Lea, give us a break!

[there's an awkward laugh from Sora, fumbling with an egg before catching it as it nearly falls.]

Can't keep this up forever, right? [NOT EVEN LOOKING BACK AT THE ROOSTER, NOPE.]

I don't think so, but somehow I doubt he'd give up so easily either!

[And he thought he was done with rooster racing- well, can't lose any of those eggs now!]

[hearing that? Sora groans.]

[ okay. he's still having a good time. a little out of breath from running, but there are worse things in life. getting chased by an angry rooster because of Sora poking him is hardly anything to be too upset about. ]

At least he's not gaining!

[He couldn't help for a laugh himself, because the situation is a little ridiculous. After all, they're both so much bigger than the rooster!]

Maybe he'll give up if we split up?

[That thought stops right there as Ventus realizes that probably would be the case, knowing the rooster.]

-okay, bad idea. Look, just head for the fence! He shouldn't follow once we're over it!

Can't roosters like partially fly or something?

Well he usually stops once I get out of the pen..!

[Although he doesn't usually make it a habit of intentionally bugging Lea to begin with. Great, now he's not sure!]

[ not really any options, huh? they'll just cross that bridge when they get there... which means Sora struggling to keep the eggs in his hands and get over the fence. ]

[Please don't break the fence, Sora. It's meant for chickens, not peoples. Ventus isn't even going to try climbing with an armload of eggs. He practically jumps towards the fence, but a flash of light appears beneath his foot just before it can land completely on the ground.

The light stretches and shifts, forming makeshift steps. For a moment Ventus looks surprised, but then he grins as it holds, and he pauses halfway over the fence.]

Sora!

[-that is if his spiky-haired friend isn't already on the other side.]

[ ruuuude, Ventus. all these little tricks and Sora can barely spit out a fire spell at the moment. D<

but at the moment? it's fine. Sora isn't really in the mindset to ogle over what's going on. but what he's going to do is fumble for a hand or something so he doesn't, you know...

[He learned that one from Prima! It's proving more handy than he would have realized at first...

Ventus doesn't move until Sora's up and over. He makes a jump down on the other side of the fence, the light steps vanishing as soon as his feet leave it.

Rooster!Lea stops short of the fence in a flurry of feathers, but that doesn't keep him from squawking angrily at them in the meantime.]

[ give Sora a minute to catch his breath. ]

[ acting like the guy has just saved his life or something isn't he? and after Sora gets his second wind, he meanders back to the fence. squats... and you know what he's going to do here, right? if you guessed try to reason with the rooster, then i hope that was your daily double question.

Hey, anytime...

[Sora, you're just going to get a big fat squawk in the face because obviously the rooster's never wrong and like to think he knows better. And since the two are off of his turf, he's not going to waste any more time with them. Tossing his head, he struts off.]

...pff.

[Yeah, Ventus is trying to keep from snickering back here.]

[ and Sora gives both rooster and Ven a put out look. ]

Heheh, sorry! It's not that- I was just thinking about how he had both of us running.

[ Sora pauses for a minute. then just breaks down laughing. ]

[That's all it takes for Ventus to join him. Now that the worst as over, it all did seem pretty ridiculous.]

[A third voice joins in the laughter once the chase is over, this one coming from their communicators. If they happen to look down, they'll see Axel's grinning face looking back at them.]

[He pauses and looks back at the rooster squawk that sounds.]

Maybe, but the difference is, I would know better than to mess with him in the first place, especially when I was specifically told not to.

And heh, seems like he shares a bit more with me than just a name, then. Though if he starts conjuring fireballs, I'd be concerned.
