Everyone should avoid my shack, maybe, I am contagious. It is probably that... whatever that is going around. Though if you happen to have soup I would not mind so much if you stopped by.

It's one of those small inconveniences that makes your life hell but isn't enough to actually complain about.

[Strelok - who is wrapped in his sleeping back like it's the world's rattiest blanket - perks as he sees Isaac coming into view. Even Fang, sitting on Strelok's feet, raises his head and wags his tail.]

That is why you say 'such is life in the Zone'. My hero. Have a seat; the sbiten is in the pot over the fire.

[He catches the can and gestures to the motley collection of seating. It's a lot of half-crushed metal objects and thick stumps, haphazardly arranged around the campfire he started outside of his shack.]

Heh. Cold and quiet I expected; it is space, after all. It is not too cramped? The space stations seemed pretty tiny.

No, we've progressed to a point where humans can comfortably live in space without space issues.

[he taps the V protrusion on his rig suit.] These are specially built for zero g vacuum environments.

Zero-G and vacuum. That is pretty handy. They were still having troubles with that back home. And their suits were definitely not armored. That must come in handy too.

Yeah, they double as mining suits. I think other divisions have different types of RIGs though - security ones are heavy as fuck and armoured out the asshole.

That sounds like something that the original Fang would have been into. He always liked the heavy armor. Of course, they do not allow nearly as much movement. Sometimes it is better to be nimble than armored.

[Fang is more than happy to try to crawl straight up onto Isaac's lap, grunting as he almost grins. Bweeeee attention 8D]

Heh. I have been trying to teach him to ask before sitting on my friends, but he is not so good at it.

It's ok. I haven't seen a friendly animal for years. Space isn't really a place for dogs, y'know?

That is always good. Especially with robots everywhere here. One stumble and it could be us they cave in, eh?

Friendly animals are few and far between in the Zone, too. I am lucky I found Fang as a pup, or he would not be so nice.

[He suffered his fair share of bites trying to get Fang to not bite him anyway. Silly dog.]

Ahh, I try to stay away from them. Nothing personal, just not really used to them being that big or sentient.

Animals aren't really... big on space stations. It's nice seeing one that's friendly.

Neither am I. But I remember that some of them, they are not so bad. And even if they are big, we can hurt them if they try to hurt us.

[Being able to defend yourself against monsters is a surprising comfort.]

I am not surprised. Even if the station is the size of a city, there is not enough room for animals. And heh. I have tried. He is still a wolf at heart, though.

It is. It is not such a bad thing to know, either. That even if they try to hurt us we can take them apart.

The same. The ones I have met have been nice enough, save for one. But sometimes, we have to just do what we must.

[Strelok only wishes he was joking. He's gotten accustomed to things being bad. Hunting and being hunted is a way of life for him.

Fang on the other hand could not give a hoot about the conversation. His tail whips back and forth and he leans up to lick Isaac's helmet. Enjoy the mutant slobber! Strelok looks at the pseudodog wryly.] Fang.

[he's been wary of decepticons, after being told they'd probably step on him. then again, he doesn't exactly ask "which one are you?" to every cybertronian.]

What, is it acidic? This suit can take more than you'd expect.

I think so. Honestly, I do not pay much attention. It is like the difference between Freedom and Duty; they stand for different things but there are good guys and asses in both.

[Even if one is predominantly good guys and the other is predominantly asses. Judging by symbols or colors just isn't Strelok's thing.]

Heh, not from what I know. Then again, very few stalkers have been licked by pseudodogs and lived to tell the tale. But I would hate for Fang's friendliness to rust your suit.
