[Texting? It's a bit beyond her abilities, considering typing mechanisms of any sort weren't exactly available in her tower. Not to mention that typing feels doubly unnatural with the alphabet all out of order and spaced strangely. Initially, the other two options aren't much better for her, and it takes some fiddling around before she gets the audio function to turn on.]
Um... hello? Am I doing this right? Can anyone hear me?
[Well, assuming she's using it correctly, here goes nothing.]
My name is Rapunzel, and while I'm sure that gigantic, talking, magic-living-statue person meant well, I really, really can't stay long. You see, I have a very important thing I recently set off to do, and if I don't go right back to take care of it, I may never have a chance to again... [She mumbles the rest of the sentence.] and I've kind of been waiting my whole life for it. [Ahem.] So, if anyone would be so kind to tell me how I could possibly return home, I'd be really appreciative.
[There's a small moment of thoughtful silence.]
But before I forget, by any chance, did someone by the name of Euge-- um, Flynn Rider get here before me? I know it might be a bit of a stretch, but I thought it might be a good idea to check.
[In all honesty, Rapunzel would be relieved to see a familiar face in this strange, enormous, intimidating world. That said, if there is some sort of hidden way back home, she'd need to make sure Flynn could return with her.]
Okay, I think that's everything I wanted to ask about.
...And I really do hope this strange thing is actually working and that I haven't been talking to myself this entire time.

Pfff that emote
Rapunzel will find her reasons too, he's sure of that. Knock Out stalest at her with a poker face after hearing her story.]
Hm hm....I'm not going to lie, I've heard worse. Shallow at the beginning, did he change for you?
Yes, people on earth have cars almost everywhere.
It's a winner, innit?
[KO is a silly bean.]
Well, no. That's the thing. He didn't necessarily change, he just... started to open up. Instead of hiding behind his persona of Flynn Rider, he was able to act and talk as his true self. The shallowness isn't his true self, at least not entirely. It's mostly just for reputation.
[Wait what.]
...And you're sure about that? Have people always had cars?
Yes, best ever
What, are you telling me that people hides their insecurities and real persona behind sarcasm and shallowness? News to me. [*Cough*]
Maybe not like, a million years ago, but now? Yes. [What is human history, how does that work?]
heehee
[There's a definite tease to her voice; Sora's mostly to thank for blondie here knowing that KO partakes in having a front.]
Huh... I wonder why Mother never said a word about them.
♥♥
Maybe she didn't know about them.
:>
Don't you think that's strange, though? I mean, she was the one who went into towns and on trips; surely she would have seen one. And well... while she never brought me books or pictures of people, she never hesitated to bring me things on inanimate objects or animals. And if cars are in disguise all the time, then she wouldn't know they're people, right?
[You get three guesses as to who thinks all vehicles are robots, and the first two don't count.]
:3
Yes, your mother sounds a bit strange. Like she was hiding something from you. You had no friends to talk with? Only you mother?
[Knock Out think this is hilarious and he's not even going to correct her.]
no subject
[But it seems terribly unlikely the small fellow will be showing anytime soon.]
Anyways, I really don't think there's anything she had to hide. Sort of. I mean...
[Rapunzel looks a little lost for words and more than a little emotionally conflicted. She takes a deep breath and looks down at her hands, entwined in a strand of her long hair.]
I know she stretched the truth a lot and I know she withheld other truths about the world. While I wish she didn't and while I wish she would have just trusted me enough to let me see some of the world and learn things for myself... she did what she did to protect me and my gift. And to keep our tiny family together. That has to be why.
[However, her words aren't entirely certain in their tone; in fact, she's saying it not to help KO to understand, but to convince herself that Gothel was indeed a good, trustworthy person. After all, that's all she had ever known her to be. Even despite current evidence to the contrary, she wants to believe the one family member she had ever known was still all that in some form.
She wants to believe it badly.]

Lady, people always has something to hide. It doesn't have to be terribly bad but I never met anybody that had no secrets. That's just not natural. [He's really trying to sound comforting with that affirmation.]
Well if you are sure. Perhaps she will show up here one day and you can ask her.
no subject
[Poor Pascal... she definitely misses him, but she was tiny in comparison to the robots of this world; Pascal might be too hard to see. It's definitely safer that he didn't come with her.]
Well, I was the secret, which is why I was hidden.
[Gothel? Have secrets? Nope, Rapunzel wants to give her the benefit of the doubt. Sure, Gothel over-exaggerated some things (though they were based in fact) and stayed ignorant on some things like the lanterns, but flat out lying? The idea makes her heart ache.]
I... I really don't think Mother would like it here. She's not very good with... you know. Adapting. She loves routine and predictability and safety.
no subject
[He would be such a tiny little thing here.]
Ah, right.
[Rapunzel you need to be more cynic, like Knock Out. Okay maybe not that much cynic but a bit more for sure.]
Those who doesn't adapt don't get very far, I'm afraid.
no subject
[What is this cynic you speak of?]
They don't, especially not humans here on Cybertron. Adapting isn't always easy, but sometimes you can't fight fate, you know? Don't get me wrong; I do miss Mother dearly and I'd love to see her again. But I really don't think she'd do so well here. It's... better -much better- for her to be back home.
[Granted, only if time isn't passing there. If it is, Gothel has probably been dead for quite some time.]
no subject
[Being cynical is when you finally become aware of the sort of bad things the universe likes to pull on you
and bitch nonstop.]Yes, I know. Or you can run with it hoping it won't find you. I know Cybertronians who wouldn't go well here either and this is our home planet.
[Her time came ages ago, don't feel bad Rapunzel.]
no subject
[Then again, Rapunzel's of the opinion that all colors lack subtlety on Cybertron.]
That's... actually really strange. To me, I mean. If they wouldn't go well here, where would they go well?
[No, she's a terrible daughteeeeeer.]
no subject
[Rapunzel is right.]
We are used to travel a lot because of the war. I don't like to stay in a place for long and now I can't leave. While I enjoy it here I also miss traveling. [Having a scape route is what he misses.
See, this is what emotional blackmail made you think.]
no subject
And that makes a lot more sense, though I'm sorry you had to because of war.
[That is never good. Ever.
NO SHE IS JUST A TERRIBLE DAUGHTER.]
no subject
Those were some really bad times. Thankfully they're behind me. Don't look back, it will distract you from the now.
[Lady one day you need to learn how manipulation works. Knock Out's an expert on that.]
no subject
And that's good advice in general, I think.
[Not that she can't help but look back to her upbringing now and then.
What is this man-ee-pull-la-zion you speak of?]
