Something is telling me I'm not in Kansas anymore. And this doesn't look anything like Oz.

So anyone want to fill me in? I mean these Acolytes, they're alright but really, it's kinda weird talking to someone that towers over you like they do. [A faint wry laugh at that. It's not funny but he's going to try.] Though really, pretty impressive there's robots quite as tall as that, not an every day sight. At least where I come from, guess it's not so odd around here, huh?

Speaking of filling, if anyone can let me know where I can get some water? I'd be much obliged.

[As it would turn out, Ventus doesn't seem to have any hesitation in approaching the automaton at all. Smiling easily, he steps closer to him with a nod of his head.]

Hi! The Spine, right?

[He pulls a couple of bottles out of the bag at his side.]

I brought a few more, wasn't sure how much water you needed.

[Well, he's probably not nearly as imposing when compared to twenty foot tall or bigger robots to be completely honest. But he's glad to see that Ventus is willing to approach.]

That's perfect. Only need one right now, but better to have the extra on hand and all.

[Ventus isn't much intimidated by the bigger robots either, but then that's because he's open to befriending just about anyone. He holds out the bottle to The Spine.]

Here you are. And no, it wouldn't be bad to have extra at all, especially with the distance from the Hub from here. Oh, that's what we call the place at the center of the Haven. It's got some living spaces that are better sized for us, and a pantry where we store food and water.

Oh good, I was really hoping we wouldn't have to use ladders or something to get around.

[He accepts the bottle with a murmured thanks, taking a long pull, steam curling more thickly from vents for a moment after.]

This'll work just fine I think.

[He can't help but stare a little, not so much weirded out as he is amazed. Robots are really something!]

Oh good! Um, I can leave this with you too, if you think you might need them.

[The boy slips the strap of the bag from his shoulder.]

So is there anything else you might have questions about?

[He's used to staring, so it really doesn't bother him much. He's gotten good at picking up if someone's staring because they're curious or for less savory reasons and he's not seeing any ill-will here.]

Awful thoughtful of you. [The bag is accepted with a grateful smile, the bot considering.]

I'm guessing there's no way back that we can get to... problem is it'll worry the family something fierce when they notice I'm gone.

Sorry to say it, but no... There's no surefire way to get back to where we're supposed to be, so far as any of us know.

I know what you mean, though. I'm sure my friends can take care of themselves, wherever they are, but I can't help but worry about them, all the same, and I hope they're not worrying too much about me either.

I know that they're taken care of... it's just a matter of my little brothers being more trouble than a pair of foxes in a henhouse for all the mess they like to make.

Uh... Oh, I see. I think.

It's generally considered a good day if we don't have to clean maple syrup or marshmallow out of anyone's chassis.

Or clear glitter out of filters.

That....sounds messy.

Oh it definitely is. You wouldn't even believe how long you're puffing up glitter after it gets in your intakes and filters, even with a good scrubdown.

Wow, that really doesn't sound pleasant. I hope your brothers aren't making too much of a mess while you're away.

[He chuckled at that, with a puff of steam from the vents on either side of his mouth.]

Who am I kidding, they're probably going to glitter the entire manor.

You really think so?

If there's a way to do it you can count on The Jon to find it.

Well, I guess that could be a good or bad thing, depending on what's being done.

He always means well, but The Jon is well... he's a unique kid, no doubt about that.

Heh...

Oh, um. So would you like a lift out to the Hub? Or is there anything else you have any concerns about, maybe?

I guess there's not much at the moment, I'm sure things'll come up later. But a lift to the Hub would be appreciated.

[He nods.]

Sure thing! One sec-

[Turning, he holds out his hand to summon forth his Keyblade, and with an expert twirl, he sends it flying into the air. In a flash of light, it transforms into the same glider that the boy had rode on when he'd arrived.

It comes to hover in front of Ventus, who hops on.]

Okay, climb aboard! -uh, you don't have a problem with heights, do you?

[The bot paused, studying the glider a moment, before carefully climbing aboard. Here's hoping that this thing doesn't have a low weight limit.]

No, no problem with heights. Just a problem with falling, so if we avoid that everything's fine.

Don't worry, I haven't dropped anyone yet!

[With a reassuring smile, he waited until he Spine was aboard. The glider dipped slightly, but otherwise remained airborne.]

Just put your hands on my shoulders if you need, and tell me when you're ready.

And now you've gone and jinxed us. [He sounds more amused than anything, resting his hands carefully on Ventus's shoulders.]

Ready when you are.

I sure hope not!

[Still, he laughs, and with a nod, takes them up and urges the glider onward.]

This way sure beats getting around by foot. Since this world wasn't originally intended for humans and those of that size, everything's just as far to get to.

At least some of the bigger robots around here don't mind giving a lift if you need it. I guess figuring out a better mode of transportation around the Haven might be best in the long run, though...
