[Locked to SG!Starscream - video]
[He'd been avoiding Starscream since that... thing after he'd been exploring around Megatronus' quadrant and had he really just not seen it? Why had Blurr seen it? Either way, Cliffjumper had been avoiding Starscream but considering Blurr's stupid... date thing and then that he'd been feeling like he should do something about it.
Nevermind that something felt off, he just couldn't put his finger on it. Maybe it was just because of the realisation and Starscream--- With a groan, and before he decided not to, Cliffjumper turned on the Link.]
Hey, uh, Starscream? I just... [What was he even supposed to say? Squirming and scowling off to the side, Cliffjumper felt the flustered embarrassment, annoyance over his own feelings and that offness just coalesce into... something.]
Got time to, er. Talk?
[... Well, that worked he supposed with a grunt.]
no subject
I just know how you get when you're out of your element. So I just don't want you to get too worked up.
[ but he gets what's going on here. knows that CJ isn't about to reach. ah to be a mini. not mentioning anything about the height, the jet goes ahead and slides off of the chair.
he goes to a knee, to ensure that he is Cliffjumper's height. ]
Your comfort and ease of spark are important to me, you know.
no subject
Didn't have to do that, ya know. I ain't some fraggin' protoform. [Even if he's flustered. Cliffjumper mutters even as he leans forward, optics brightening as he pauses just this close of kissing distance...
And then, with a scowl, leans the last shade in.]
no subject
[ but that wouldn't have been very comfortable. it might also have been very awkward and no. noping nope.
so he waits. not going to push. just let Cliffjumper make the first move. Starscream still fusses with fingertips. the limited movement of his wings means they just twitch in both anticipation and nerves.
the scowl is actually pretty telling, and really? the jet chuckles more, trying to calm down himself. likely tries to say something but that's when CJ decides to finally close the distance.
he certainly feels like a protoform, what with all that warmth he feels emanating from his ember. warm enough that, well, kissing back shows just how awkward he is with it all. utter fail. ]
no subject
Yeah, it's awkward. Like the wrong angle and managing to crack teeth together, but Cliffjumper, frankly, doesn't care. It's not like it can't be corrected, and he stubborn even when embarrassed about it to not step back and storm out because of it.
So he grunts, annoyed, and manages to tilt his helm right after a moment or two and it's nice even with the embarrassment and he's not sure he should feel as pleased as he does.]
no subject
and really, honestly and truly, Starscream is the type to pull back and apologize. profusely. if not for the annoyed grunt, he might have!
but the angle changes and it is better. much better. Starscream's engine purrs, pretty pleased himself. though... one of his hands reaches for Cliffjumper's, because he wants to. also feels a little awkward to just kneel there with loose hanging arms. ]

The hand touching his has Cliffjumper twitching, fingers curling in - and then he opens it up again and hesitantly threads his fingers with Starscream's and he just wants to snort at himself at how slagging silly that is.
Instead he leans a bit further into the kiss for a few moments longer before stepping back, optics bright.]
... Climbin' your frame would've made it harder, so probably just as well I didn't, huh? [He manages a lopsided grin at that.]
no subject
optics bright, he's almost giddy about this all. even backing away from Cliffjumper a bit, Starscream gives an amused huff. this time he's the one ducking his helm. ]
Exactly. So do not look so offended next time, all right?
no subject
Because good intentions or not, Cliffjumper's just prickly enough that probably shouldn't be a usual reaction, even if he's... uhm... what, got a crush on Starscream?
... that just sounds utterly ridiculous, but another warm little tingle washes the immediacy of it away.]
So, uh... [They're still holding hands. Cliffjumper frowns at their joined hands and squeezes back, because what do they do now?]
no subject
[ and Starscream is chuckling right along with him. he just feels warm and light in general. almost like flying! ]
"So, uh" what? Is this as far as your brilliant processor can plan?
[ yeap. back to teasing. ]
no subject
Like I fraggin' planned it alright? You got a better idea for what to do now? [Growling, Cliffjumper scowls up at Starscream, annoyed even if he knows he's just being teased and without any ill intent.]
no subject
no subject
Don't think that'll get ya off lightly. [Besides the fact that it absolutely would, even as Cliffjumper huffs.]
no subject
[ his smile is actually cheeky. once more he's saying something with a double meaning and, well... of course he doesn't catch it. ]
Might I be able to get up now? Or sit right here?
no subject
... Yeah, yeah, you can get up. Not like I asked ya to get down here.
[Not that it didn't make it easier, of course. And his optics brighten again, not from incredulous embarrassment or flustered over what Starscream said, just... the fact of the situation, a response to the warmth suffusing the circuits around his spark chamber and that's just... he's not sure. So he just looks to the side and waves Starscream upright.]
no subject
True. I suppose you could just stand on a chair next time.
[ all smiles over here and he stands. not letting go of Cliffjumper's hand though. not yet. ]
I think we might need to apologize to someone.
no subject
... Apologise? To... Oh. [He flushes, grumbling and shifting on his feet, aiming a narrow stare at the floor.] ... suppose so.
[He's not sure why, but something still feels distinctly odd, even with (because of?) the sparkling flutters around his spark and do they really have to apologise to Blurr?]
no subject
and they were wrong? weren't they? Blurr had been correct about his assumptions all along. so shouldn't they apologize?
something doesn't feel right about that. ]
Perhaps we should hold off on that.
[ some reason he can't place why though. ]
no subject
Just a while, at least. Just 'cause he saw somethin' doesn't mean he can just... do that.
[He jerks his hands to throw them out slightly, pulling on Starscream's as he's momentarily forgotten they're still joined. The brightening of his optics is more for remembering how slagging flustering that whole situation was than Cliffjumper noticing they're still holding hands.
He should pull them away, but doesn'.]
