[video] And then there's this loser
[Some people, upon discovering they'd been magically uprooted from wherever they were and mysteriously transported to a weird almost-but-not-quite Cybertron against their will, would probably be angry. At the very least they might be annoyed, maybe a little frustrated or panicked. This guy seems to be the exception. He looks a bit puzzled, sure, but he also looks MAYBE a little too calm and cheerful for someone in his position.
Oh, the video's recording! Excellent. He claps his hands together in that 'let's get down to business' sort of way.]
Oookay, from what I understand so far, it's probably safe to assume that you're all pretty used to confused new people popping up from time to time. I think I'm caught up on the basics, so I hope to avoid the whole panicking stage. Actually, everything I've heard so far is pretty fascinating. Just, you know, a little jarring. I have a few theories, but... well, I'll save them for when I have a better idea of what to expect here. The Acolyte I spoke to didn't give me too much information to work with. Well wait... okay, that's not true. I mean, it was pretty informative over all, but there isn't really a whole lot I can do with what they told me other than accept it. I don't like to complain, but it wasn't really all that helpful in a day-to-day life sort of sense.
So! Um. Anyway, my name is Drift. If anyone happens to have any helpful tips for a new arrival, I'd love to hear them. And... I think that's all I've got! Thanks for your time.

You know me?
Or closer to the truth . . . you know the me from your own timestream?

[AND ONE OF THEM WAS LESS THAN PLEASANT]
[AND HE'S SURPRISED BY THIS?]
Heh . . . jarring, isn't it? The red and white one is just as you probably expect him to be. The mostly white one, though . . .
One of the realities out there is a reverse of ours – Decepticons are the good guys, Autobots are evil, and Optimus Prime's an insane, sadistic fragger scarier than anyone else I've heard of except maybe Megadeath. And even that's probably debatable. The white Starscream, and if you've talked to him, an excitable white jaguar Cassetticon named Ravage, they're from that reality. They're good people. I hope you'll give them a chance.
I have yet to speak with Ravage, but that Starscream told me about him. From what I can tell, they seem decent enough.
... I apologize if this is too forward a question, but are you not a Decepticon?
[judging by TC's description of wacky backwards universe, Drift can't help but wonder]
[The question catches him off-guard, and he visibly flinches, looking away. It's a brief moment before he can reply.]
I . . . no. Not anymore.
Really? I definitely wouldn't have expected that from the Thundercracker I know.
[Back home, probably no one would have expected it of him either.]
Anyway, the war doesn't exist here, so the factions are meaningless. We've all been thrown into the same big mess together. There's no use fighting each other here when the outside threats are enough to keep us busy.
Where I'm from, the war had recently ended. It didn't stop people from being wary of each other, but I do hope that it's different here.
Same goals? [That gets a bit of a confused frown from the Seeker –confused more than anything. He's not aware of Drift's past, after all.]
Mn. It depends on the person. Most here are willing to look past faction symbols. Many Decepticons don't change, but that's usually more personality than anything. There are two Autobots that I know of here who won't see me past . . . well, past my brand. I don't know how they'd react now, I only had it removed very recently. Those all seem to be the exceptions, though.
[understatement of the century right there.]
Which Autobots would that be?
Ironhide and Perceptor. There's only one of each here, so if you meet one, it's the one. Although . . . if you're not a Decepticon now and you don't tell them you ever were, you might be all right.
At least, that's how I feel.
interested Only if it's necessary. If it comes up, sure, don't lie. But if doesn't, why invite trouble by telling people something they don't need to know? You're not a Decepticon now, so it has no bearing if you want to be judged or accepted on who you are, not who you were.
