First Session | Video
[The link flickers to life, and on the screen, a small Autobot looks to be waving to some Primian Acolytes, thanking them over his shoulder. He looks down at the communication device. Here was something a little more familiar to the bot.]
This is Rung, calling for anyone who is part of the Lost Light here. I've been informed that I'm on Cybertron, but... I don't quite recall going back to Cybertron.
[He purses his lips worriedly but he vents a small sigh, to calm himself down.]
If anyone else gets this message, and knows of any of the crew members of the Lost Light... Perhaps you could lead me in the direction of where they could be. These... Acolytes were very helpful in helping me calm down. But I should really be going. If anyone could find someone by the name of Whirl, or Fortress Maximus.
[He trails off, a finger tapping on his chin as he thinks. Soon he shakes his head and smiles back at the link.]
Any information would be most grateful. Thank you for anyone who is listening.

Re: [video]
That's what I've heard. I haven't seen either of them in person yet.
no subject
Drift... [He opens his mouth to speak but. He doesn't, for once, know what to say. What was there to say?]
no subject
...I should go.
[it's ok drift has no idea what to say either, and prepares to end the transmission or. whatever.]
no subject
[No, he won't let this end on a bad note.]
Where are you? I'd like to talk in person.
If you don't mind.
no subject
Vector Prime's temple.
It might be easier if I come to you, honestly.
[since y'know he knows his way around and also CAR
he isn't so sure he really wants to talk in person, but at the very least he could help Rung learn his way around or something. Maybe.]
no subject
I'm at the Primian Temple.
no subject
Drift nods, recalling the location]
Got it. I'll be there shortly.
no subject
[AND HE WILL BE, sitting on the altar, chatting with some of the Alcoytes.]
no subject
Sorry if I kept you waiting. I'm still learning my way around.
no subject
[He hops down from the altar, waving and saying thanks to the acolytes before he turns his gaze back to Drift.]
I will be honest. [He says after the acolytes disappear.]
I'm not pleased with what had transpired on the Lost Light. What could have been prevented.
no subject
His gaze fell to the ground. His fault or not, he was still ashamed of what had happened. He hadn't been able to talk Rodimus out of bringing Overlord on board in the first place, hadn't been able to stop Overlord after he'd broken free. Kind of made one feel pretty useless.]
There's nothing I can do but apologize for it. Anything else I say would just be an excuse.
[with any luck, maybe that would be enough to at least keep Rung from trying to do some kind of psychological evaluation on him or something, assuming the little orange mech didn't straight up hate him with every fiber of his being. The last thing Drift wanted to do was talk about his feelings or something.]
no subject
His hands grip into loose fists at his sides, his own gaze lowering.]
Why didn't you tell us?
no subject
[God, that sounded horrible. He sounded horrible, and he was half afraid Rung would see right through him.]
no subject
But you still could have told us, since you snuck him onboard before we even took off! You could have told us after the fact! That way, we could have been better prepared. And Rewind--
[He purses his lips tightly, trying to recollect himself, vents letting out a hard sigh.]
Rewind would still be with us.
no subject
Still doing a rather good job of avoiding eye contact, Drift heaves a sigh of his own.]
I know that. If I could trade my life for his or anyone else, I'd do it in an instant. What happened was... it was inexcusable. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.
no subject
[He stares up at the taller mech, his brow furrowed in confusion with a small edge of anger mixed in.]
Fortress Max was on that ship. All the things that Overlord did to him... Granted Mad had some time to recoupe before seeing him face to face, but--
[He stops himself. Here he was, thinking about the what ifs. It was far too late for that. Rung's shoulders slump.]
...Where did you go?
no subject
[He really hadn't meant to snark off, especially considering the position he was in, but he really couldn't give a straight answer, either. He was feeling backed into a corner.
By a mech that was like half his size.]
I... you mean after I was banished? I wasn't heading anywhere in particular, I just... ended up here somehow.
no subject
[Rung's gaze lowers, his hand rubbing the back of his helm. He had thought maybe he had landed somewhere. But apparently not. Rung felt a rush of air pass through his vents in another heavy sigh.
The therapist runs his hand down his own neck. This was all kinds of awkward to be honest. But Rung couldn't be mad at him. Honestly, he couldn't stay mad at anyone. But when it dealt with death, and that entire situation...]
How long have you been here?
no subject
[thankful for the subject change, Drift straightened up a bit. he didn't look any less miserable, but hey.]
People have been telling me that I've been here before, though. I don't remember it, but who am I to argue in a situation like this?
no subject
I have been told the same. [He says as he lifts up his Link. And again, his gaze falls as he places his Link into a secret compartment of his before rubbing his own arms.]
And I don't remember either. [He would have written it down! He would remember! He wouldn't just forget people, or their names... The therapist's antennae lowers.]
I wish I did.
no subject
I wish I did, too. It's not like I can help it but... I'm getting tired of disappointing people.
[He hadn't really meant to say the last bit, but it was true.]
I don't know what else to do besides get to know them again.
no subject
That's all we can do.
[Rung lifts his head to meet Drift's gaze once more.]
And just. Keep moving forward.
no subject
[Drift doesn't avert his eyes this time, but he does vent a sigh and give a little shrug. Ugh Rung.]
Have you decided where you're going to stay yet?
no subject
I have yet to think about that.
Where are you staying?
no subject
