Number VI: [Video] Now I lay me down to sleep...

[Axel doesn't seem to be his usual, lively self when next he appears on the comms. In fact, he looks like he's struggling to stay awake while talking to everyone. 

Axel had noticed that he was feeling tireder than usual over the past couple days, but had just shrugged it off for the most part. It could easily have just been a normal bout of blah; they happened to most everyone occasionally. But sleeping longer hadn't seemed to help, and now this... this was definitely not normal. He felt as if something was literally trying to drag him towards sleep, and he'd been in Haven long enough to have some idea of what that might mean.]

Hey... just wanted to let everybody know, I'm probably gonna be out of action for a few days. Feel like I'm about to fall asleep on my feet any
minute an' I think I know what that means...

Oh and Sora? Ventus? Would appreciate it if you made sure I got to Knockout's once it happens. I'd just go myself, but 'm afraid I'd pass out halfway there...

Yeah... 'm Alright. It's just... you know that thing where somebody falls asleep for a few days then wakes up with more memories from home? Think that's happening to me...

[For that, read, he trusts Knockout not to pull anything funny while he's down for the count, and his friend collectively to keep anyone else from doing the same.]

[He's running out of the temple as he speaks, and with a quick summon of his keyblade, he'll be down and gliding over towards the Hub in no time.]

[When Ven arrives, he'll find Axel sitting on his bed- he felt that was the safest place to be, just in case- leaning up against the headboard, as if even sitting up unsupported is too difficult to sustain. Axel is still clinging stubbornly to wakefulness, but he clearly won't be able to fight it much longer.]

Hey... made it in time to say goodnight. [Tired smirk.]

[Action!]

Oh come on, you don't expect me to carry you all the way there myself!

[He forces a smile, but this is still a bit concerning.]

[Axel slowly sits up from leaning against the headboard, his body clearly reluctant to do so. But he doesn't want Ven to worry more than necessary.]

Hoped you wouldn't have too, but it looks like you might. Figures Sora would pick now to not be watching his communicator...

[Because Axel doesn't and will not believe that Sora would intentionally ignore him in such a situation.]

Might have to singe his pants or something once I wake up... Make sure he's payin' attention from now on...

[Despite the tiredness, he sounds amused enough for Ventus to know he's kidding.]

Guess we'll have to make do. I probably could have asked my acolyte to come along and help, but I figure it's probably better he stick around the temple in case something comes up.

[He steps closer towards the bed to offer the guy a hand.]

Well...maybe something came up. I'm sure he'd have come too, otherwise.

[His smile quirks a bit.]

Probly... 'Sides, I trust you more than I do the acolytes.

[Not that he thought anything particularly bad of the one assigned to Ven, but well... he'd take a friend over a rather dull non-living robot any day.]

Yeah, most likely..

[He took the offered hand and with Ven's help was able to haul himself to his feet albeit a bit unsteadily.]

Alright... Best get outside and onto your glider. Less you want to have to drag me even further...

[Ventus keeps a hold of Axel's hand even once his friend's on his feet, just in case he might start to fall over or something.]

Right. Let's go.

[Probly a good idea, that. He follows Ven slowly and a bit unsteadily out of the room and down the hall, till the reach an area large enough to summon the glider. It's clear by this point he's not gonna be awake much longer; probly once he sits down somewhere again, that'll be it.]

[He won't waste any time once they're outside, and with his keyblade flashing into hand, the glider isn't long in following.]

Here, you should probably sit in front. At least I can keep an eye on you better that way. I don't want you falling off.

[Axel, though somewhat out of it, nods a little in agreement with Ven's plan.]

Right...

[Axel comes around to the front of the glider and takes a seat on the front of it, settling himself as carefully as possible under the circumstances so as not to tip the glider forward too much. He grips the edges of it too, to help keep from falling off, though he doesn't know how long that will last. He can already feel sleep trying with renewed force to pull him under, now that he's no longer focused on staying on his feet.]

Ready...

[Hopping up behind him, Ventus sets a hand on Axel's shoulder once he's gotten the glider balanced out.]

All right, here we go.

[With a nod, he urges the glider to take to the sky, nice and easy since he doesn't want to pull any sudden moves where his Nobody passenger might lose his grip.]

And wrapped, unless you wanted write out Ven bringing him in to Knockout's.

[Axel unconsciously leans into the hand a bit. He hears Ven's announcement- though he doesn't respond- and feels them take off but minute or two later finally loses the battle with sleep, settling a bit against Ven's hand and legs, breathing softly.]
