[The first thing Knock Out does after arriving to the medbay is to grab his communicator. It's obvious that he needs some medical help. He looks like he's gone to hell and back, with a nasty wound in his side and most of his finish scratched. He also looks about to go into stasis at any moment and only rage (and probably paranoia) is keeping him awake.]

I seriously wonder what sort of psychological test the Police Force takes before joining because if that's how an agent of the law acts I think we are all screwed.

[Knock Out gives Sentinel a nasty look and then continues.] This pychopath here tried to kill me and...[don't mind that shuffling and abrupt jerking of the video as sentinel grabs the device out of knock out's hands!]

--cannot believe- yeah, no, Knock Out just took a nasty fall because he was speeding in the Junk Pile like a moron. Apparently trying to help mechs you see leaking on the ground counts as attempted murder now?

[He shoots the look back at knock out. screw you, buddy.] Call me a psychopath all you want, I wasn't even anywhere near you when you crashed. Nor does it change the fact I saved your life.

[Yes, that's definitely good. It sting but Knock Out forced himself not to move because crushing the tiny man between his joint would be a bad outcome for both of them. he still cringed, though.]

Government discovered pretty quickly that we weren't going to fight anyone, even if they dropped us into warzones. Saved face by claiming they'd planned to assign us to search and rescue squads the whole time.

[The Spine made the adjustment as quickly as he could,before he was freeing a hand from under armor to grab a flashlight out of his bag, so he could shine it into the space to see better.]

And you said there was something that fell in here too right? Any idea where it is now?

Pacifist to the core, uh? [By the sound of his voice, Knock Out's clearly not judging.] I thoguth you belonged to that Walter person, the government took you from him?

[Knock Out would help if he knew how but he doesn't dare to make a movement just in case.]

Try checking the gears on the back of my knee, I'm almost sure it's stuck in between two of those.

We did, but they basically gave the ultimatum that either we get drafted, or our human siblings did. He didn't want anyone to go but... well as far as I was concerned it was a heck of a lot safer if us robots headed out. Less likely we wouldn't come back.

[The Spine focused his search there,picking out the small shards he saw while looking for whatever was the larger piece bothering the red mech. Better than having those bits getting caught somewhere delicate.]

Might try just going under the leg, that whole area'd probably be easier to get to...

And was he right? You all came back? [Knock Out always avoided the field and direct combat if he could but he's someone who's seen more than her fair share of War. He knows that no matter who's victorious, both parties always lose.]

Uhm, alright. Do you need help getting there? [He leaned over very carefully and extended his arm, the palm of his hand up.]

We did, thankfully. [The nature of war, no matter the species.]

Just bend your leg enough that there's room for me to slide under and I can probably get it from there.

[Yes. That nature is basically 'a bitch' nature.

Knock Out does as ordered, flinch slightly. is not that the knee causes him great pain but the debris there annoys him in the same way a cut between a fingers does. A really deep cut.]

And you only had to fight once or every time there was a war they recruited us?

Once the limb is up enough, he retracts the long spines along his back and slides under, like he was working on a car; there was less armor and kibble on the back of the knee to get in the way, and he dragged his bag after so he could fish out some pliers.]

Four different wars. First and last were the worst. [For different reasons, not that all four weren't awful in their own ways.]

[Knock Out blinked. He has no idea The Spine could do that with his back but now the medic understand how he must sleep.] Nifty...one day I need to give you another check up now that your systems aren't over heating due to sickness. I would like to scan you.]

Sorry to hear that. At least here we seem to be safe. Did you find anything in there?

[Just wait until Knockout saw his other trick. That one was even better. Or horrifying, depending if you were expecting it or not.]

Sounds fine to me. [A moment's pause before he spots the debris that was giving the mech so much grief.] I see what's bothering you. Just hold still and I should have it out in a minute.

[Is it the fact his head is detachable? Because yes, that would freak him out He can't wait to know more.]

Really? Excellent! I'm sure it could do you good too, a check up is never unnecessary. [He likes you The Spine. You agree so easily and you are polite. Never change.] Ok.

[He will try his best, if only to not accidentally crush the smaller robot and end with more problems.]

[Not like the legs ever helped the whole 'head and spine are detachable' thing.]

Never hurt anything, got that right. [And really, even if he did disagree, he'd be nice about it!

Pausing only to make sure he's able to get a good grip on the offending piece of scrap before starting to tug it out. At least it went easily, and soon enough it was getting tossed aside, the titanium bot pushing out from under Knockout's leg.]

That everything in there? Give it a flex and see.

[ The legs too? My, my, if the Spine ever gets a girlfriend she's in for a surprise.]

No pain involved, doctor promise. [He smiles, even if The Spine can see it.] Ah...that stung but now there's less pressure.

[He bends his leg a few times.] I think that was it. You have good hands, my little friend. Were you ever interested in becoming a nurse by any chance?

[Not the chassis legs, these creepy little legs that unfold from his spine- it's funny that you think he'll ever have a girlfriend though. Cute.]

Well, I did go through a phase where I wanted to grow up to be Doogie Howser.

There was a show on Earth about a super young but super smart doctor while things were quiet. Not like I technically grow up or anything, but well, it seemed like it'd be pretty cool.

Fair enough. Been mostly busy working on getting a working guitar together. Found some parts and pieces of some, but well, the fall never seems to leave them in good shape.

Almost done with that project thankfully.

I might be able to help you with that. A guitar is like any other broken thing, you just need to put the pieces back together in the right way. I'm good at that.
