Why should now be any different?

In the past he would've gone looking for them, in the hope of finding them. But too many times those searches had turned to sparkache, at the failure to find them. The last one that did him in to giving up the searching was when Miko disappeared.

It's almost routine by now. Can't change it. You just have to deal with it and move on. He had things to do, including sending out long overdue messages.]

…worried, honestly. Afraid, even. I'm losing my team, Bulkhead. Kagerou I feel like I just can't get through to more times than not. Shadowmaru vanishes for lengths at a time like he never did back home – the only reason I think he's still here at all is Kagerou hasn't said anything. I haven't seen or heard from McCrane in . . . far too long. Power Joe's supposedly out on some kind of mission, but he's not checked in since he left and he doesn't answer radio hails. I'm afraid the Badlands have gotten him. The only one I'm truly sure of is Gunmax . . . but even he's vanished twice already without warning, from what I've been told. I . . . I don't want to lose them, Bulkhead.

[Bulkhead isn't the only one to say as much. This is all Wing's known of Haven so far, so if others say it's "too quiet", he believes them.]
