[Video/action | The Junkpile]

[The video starts with Knock Out in the middle of the junkpile, his blue firelizard perched on his shoulder, flapping its wings with anxiety and looking at the sky.]

I knew that peace wouldn’t last. Anybody else has seen the shiny display? The Lambda is up to something again and…eh...?

[There’s a loud thud and Knock Out turns to face two mutated boars growling and charging at him. They’re not the fasted creature but they’re really nasty looking and seriously? Zombie boars now? Knock Out is so done with this place he swears to primus…

With an irritated sigh he raises his left hand. It changes into a path blaster, not a weapon medics come equipped with very often (or ever), and the boars are blasted away withing seconds. ]

Thank you ‘Cade for the upgrade. [Knock Out murmurs to himself and then focus his attention on the feed again.]  I really hate this place sometimes. Who wants roasted pork for dinner?

Semantics. The their skies have birds that might get on your trusters, that's almost as bad. [Almost. And he sees you smiling, pal~]

No it really wasn't. Thanks Primus we don't have to suffer that here. We get giant monsters instead, clearly a much better option.

Semantics are important, however. [This is serious you know!!] I'm... er, relieved that didn't happen.

At least they're easier to see and avoid, and you know if you've got any bits of them stuck anywhere. [Faint grin.]

Only if you area teacher. [Very serious!] I know some fliers that had to deal with that particular problem. [The poor morons.]

Not so easy when you fly at Mach 3+, at that speed the remaining bits are mostly a mess.

Or a scientist. Details are important, less you miss something... or misread it.

[A pause and then Jetfire grimaces.]

True. Though that could be avoided by flying high enough, I believe? I would assume birds can't fly as high up as most of us are capable of.

Damn it Jetfire, I'm a doctor not a scientist! [Knock Out replies and it takes him a second to realize that Jetfire won't get the reference.]Ah...I suppose you aren't familiar with human tv shows?

... er, I can't say I am, no. Not even a day on Earth, Knock Out, and there wasn't really any time to indulge in the local... ah, pop culture.

[Have a lopsided smile.]

It's a shame, i think you would have liked some of the things they had, like the science channel. It was ridiculously prehistoric but fun for that exact reason.

I don't doubt it. I'd have liked the opportunity but that... er, well. Wasn't how things turned out.

Yeah. We really need a tv channel in this planet. Someone should work on that.

[Aww Jetfire. It was a long time ago, at least?]

So, how do you feel about hosting a show about science?

... I, ah. Don't think I am the best suited to something like that. Or teach people. [He looks away briefly and then back at Knock Out, shaking his helm.]

Perhaps the Starscream from the... reverse reality might be more suitable, if he was willing?

You can't be worse than Ratchet.

[He was goign to protest upon hearing the word 'Starscream' but stopped when the 'reserve polarity' was added.]

Hm...I think he will be too shy for something like that.

I'm not sure how Ratchet could be bad... though I suppose differences in personality would give that, but I'm not sure why you think I would be any more comfortable than Starscream in front of a camera...

[He smiles nonetheless, though it's somewhat dry.]

He has no notion of fun or understand the concept of 'entertainment'. You need to keep people interested if you want to actually teach them something. But Jetfire you have th wits ad the looks for it. And you are very photogenic.

Would it hurt to try?

[He's just going to clear his vocaliser and shake his helm. Knock Out, really, stop that.]

That must be... ah, another difference between alternates then. Because the Ratchet I know is hardly unaware of how to have 'fun'. And I'm pretty sure he would do a far better job of being both informative and interesting.

[No. He likes it when you are all embarrassed and or confused.]

Is he? That's new. He's not here by any chance, isn't he?

[Wow, rude. This needs to stop, Knock Out.]

He's not, unfortunately. [Then he shakes his helm, smiling dryly.] Or, if all is all right at home, not... ah, unfortunately, since that's where he belongs.

Too bad. We had been short on medics lately, I am very busy.

[... How about not. By the Matrix, Knock Out...]

We have. [At that, he sighs, frowning.] If something happens... with this or later, things might get difficult, but hopefully no one will be injured.

[Why so difficult Jetfire? Learn how to have fun.]

Heh...yeah. Hopefully. [Can you feel the cynicism?]

[This type of fun isn't his sort of fun!]

Not a hope with particularly great odds, but still. I should see what there's to do about this, too.

[Before Knock Out turns things back to being embarrassing.]
