[The feed that opens is staticky, coming as it is from the outer edges of the network's range, and bears a face that should be familiar to many. Upon closer inspection though, one might notice this Wing is a little rougher around the edges compared to recent newer arrivals. His glyph too, is a brilliant Vectorian gold edged with a strong violet glow. A touch of concern marks Wing's face as he looks right and left before speaking into the feed. The jet is clearly wary of his surroundings.]
Haveners! It's been quite a long time. I wish happier news brought me to this, but alas, the recent disruption of the Lamdba affects us all.
[Behind Wing, over his shoulder, there's a stealthy, disturbingly flesh colored shape slithering down the slope on all fours.]
We hope--
[There's a flash of steel and white and red behind the jet: Drift doing what he does best, which is, apparently, slicing things into sushi, the two--the whatever-it-is and Drift--disappearing offscreen in a grunting flail.]
[The sound of combat rings out off screen, grabbing Wing's attention. The feed is jostled as he almost ends it--clearly Wing is tempted to join the fray--but he seems to change his mind at the last moment.]
Please. Please be wary if you leave the Haven. The wastelands is strewn with foreign debris and creatures stranger than ever roam the land!
[Yeah, and on that note... Drift appears--victorious, of course--holding what appears to be a severed head--actually two, one a smaller, almost vestigial one like a goiter from the neck of the main one--into the camera's range. ]
Anyone else running into these , for example?

Yeah, me. Still around and kickin'. [He smiles, and there's relief and some hope there. Maybe everybody that followed them is alive too.]
Man, it's such a relief to see you! When the other Drift and Wing arrived, I thought something had happened to you guys.
Never been more glad to have thought wrong.

No, we've been safe out in our little home. Until, you know, things rained down from the sky earlier [That was an interesting wake-up call let him tell you.]
But having...alternates of us in Haven is, well. Interesting to say the least? Did they appear shortly after we left?
[It's like they needed to be replaced or something. That's both eerie and complimentary at the same time?]

You guys missed the light show that came before it. But, good to hear. Uh....I know others went to find ya. 4, Barricade, possibly others. Are they there? [And are they okay, too?]
Uh...they both only showed up a couple months ago. The Drift about a couple weeks before the Wing.
[If it was, it wasn't a very fast replacement, you guys hae been gone almost a year.]

I heard it though. We might not be right under the Lambda, but the elevation we're at... [Yeah it was quite the spectacle, at least what he caught of it.] We've found them yes! Barricade's been a particularly huge help, he stayed behind to look after things while we came back to investigate all this.
[He takes some comfort the news about their alternates. It feels more random than by design.] I'm happy for them then, that they've had to...mmm...endure less of this place's challenges. I hope...we've not lost too many others?

Yeah, think we can use all the help we can get. [He lets out a smile. This was definiely a boost he needed after thinking they were all gone.]
It's good to see you again, Drift. Wish it was uder better circumstances, though.
