[The feed that opens is staticky, coming as it is from the outer edges of the network's range, and bears a face that should be familiar to many. Upon closer inspection though, one might notice this Wing is a little rougher around the edges compared to recent newer arrivals. His glyph too, is a brilliant Vectorian gold edged with a strong violet glow. A touch of concern marks Wing's face as he looks right and left before speaking into the feed. The jet is clearly wary of his surroundings.]
Haveners! It's been quite a long time. I wish happier news brought me to this, but alas, the recent disruption of the Lamdba affects us all.
[Behind Wing, over his shoulder, there's a stealthy, disturbingly flesh colored shape slithering down the slope on all fours.]
We hope--
[There's a flash of steel and white and red behind the jet: Drift doing what he does best, which is, apparently, slicing things into sushi, the two--the whatever-it-is and Drift--disappearing offscreen in a grunting flail.]
[The sound of combat rings out off screen, grabbing Wing's attention. The feed is jostled as he almost ends it--clearly Wing is tempted to join the fray--but he seems to change his mind at the last moment.]
Please. Please be wary if you leave the Haven. The wastelands is strewn with foreign debris and creatures stranger than ever roam the land!
[Yeah, and on that note... Drift appears--victorious, of course--holding what appears to be a severed head--actually two, one a smaller, almost vestigial one like a goiter from the neck of the main one--into the camera's range. ]
Anyone else running into these , for example?

Not much. Something happened to Lambda. A storm or explosion of come kind. Now there's all this foreign debris everywhere. And the monsters...

Yeah. Good point.
[Because Ambulon and Wing trying to face off with Tarn had been the only thing that had kept him still. He couldn't bear them taking such a risk. Not for him.]
Yeah, the monsters are new. I mean, new kinds of things. It's never exactly been a picnic here.

People here care about you Drift.
[The First Forged though? Wing wonders about that. Yes the people of Haven had asked for non interference. But that would not have stopped Wing if it meant preventing deaths.]
No, it hasn't. [A sigh and a slightly tighter squeeze around Drift's middle: a reminder of the good things.] I've never seen them before either. Very....organic. From the Lambda maybe?

It shouldn't matter. What matters is that we can help.

They're not from Cybertron, so they have to be. But they all look...wrong somehow. Like the Swarm.

[At least, by the Five he hopes not! They do look all kinds of Wrong.]

You're right. As usual.
[And Drift wouldn't have it any other way.]
You think someting like Jhiaxus? Evil scientists?

[His EM field ripples at the compliment, returning it in a silent way.]
Meddlesome people are usually at the root of unnatural things. Those who think they can do better than nature, but fail. Scientists is a credible theory.

I wish I knew Drift. Should we head that way and find out?
[And maybe stop at the waskracks on the way...]

[They could have stayed out in the Wastes with their little family, with Barricade and the mechanical lizards, but neither of them could have really enjoyed that, not while thinking of their friends here, when things might be so dangerous.]

[Wing presses one last kiss on the back of Drift's helm and then leaves the warmth of the embrace, turning to give his partner enough space to lift off, so that they might fly together towards Haven proper.]
