Hey guys!

[A sign comes up on screen, large bubble letters written on a piece of cardboard. It reads: "FREE CAR WASH TODAY! Though you don't have to be a car! Helpers paid in hugs! 8'D"

The sign is pulled back and Yuuta's grinning face comes up. He looks particularly excited.]

I heard from McCrane that you guys haven't been getting regular washings since you guys came here. I'm looking at you, Deckerd! So! What if we have a huge car wash today! I'll help anyone who needs a cleaning, though if anyone would like to help as well I won't refuse.

I'll be at Prima Prime's temple, so come on over!

Yep! It's good to keep clean so that you don't get all sorts of gunk stuck when you transform, and it feels really nice too! At least, that's what Deckerd tells me.

I wash Deckerd every Sunday! And I've kinda helped wash Duke before too.

[Yuuta blinks, confused by Kagerou's tone. He gives Kagerou a considering look.]

Well... it wouldn't be fair to leave everyone else out. There are a lot of people who need washing after all.

[He pauses, thinking. Maybe....]

It's a bit sudden, but... would you like to be a part of the Brave Police, Kagerou? We can't do anything officially here, but I'm sure once we get back We can get the Commissioner to approve of it!

[Mr. Saejima would definitely approve!]

Sure! I'm mostly set up, so you're welcome to come over anytime!

[And then, he's caught completely off-guard. He just sort of sits there, staring at the feed, like Yuuta suddenly started speaking French or actually was a girl or something like that.]

[There are so many mixed messages from these people he doesn't even know where to start trying to put it all together. And so, Yuuta gets a nice long video feed of Kagerou staring at him in utter shock, like he's hit that fabled Blue Screen of Death.]

[He shakes his head.]

That doesn't matter! There's nothing wrong with having more people! The more the merrier!

[Office hierarchy is a little confusing, but this much Yuuta can understand.]

Well phooey to whoever doesn't! I'm sure they'll warm up to you in time.

[No one liked Drill Boy or Gunmax or Duke when they first joined!]

[Yuuta grins and actually jumps in celebration.]

~~WaHa!~~ Yay! I'll be expecting you then, Kagerou! Don't worry, I'll make sure you're squeaky clean and water free when I'm done, okay?

And if he decides to overrule your decision?

[His face twitches. It's too quick and slight to really be called a smile. But it came close.]

I wonder if you'd say that, if you knew who it was.

[This time he just looks embarrassed. But in a moment, there's a bird in place of the robot, taking flight.]

Water free is preferable, yes.

He won't! Mr. Saejima's a really nice person. And really understanding! He'll accept you for sure!

[Yuuta blinks.]

[The bird shakes its head.]

If you mean Shadowmaru, he's fine. He seems a bit lonesome sometimes, but he's been well!

[He's silent for a good few seconds. A little longer than he probably should be.]

[Yuuta nods and looks up at the sky squinting.]

Ah - I think I see you! Hey!

[He starts waving and jumping excitedly.]

[He touches down lightly, a few feet from where the boy stands, looking down at him, expectantly.]

[Okay, kiddo, what now?]

[Yuuta grins and runs up to meet Kagerou.]

Kagerou! Good, you're here! Now then, let's see how dirty you are.

[Yuuta holds up his hand clearly and wiggles his fingers before putting them on Kagerou's plating testing for dirt.]
