[He's silently hoping that appointment is "as soon as possible", but it's not really in his personality to give such unsolicited comments about such personal matters... and not his place, truly. What he's rather worried about is that Starscream apparently got lost/called to the Badlands... and now back.

And unless there's some part there where he simply got "lost enough" to not be sent back home... is it sure then that they can't get home, and people would instead get lost and subjected to whatever happens in the Badlands?]

I'm sure most of us don't want to be here, but at least... It's not been terrible, and the company isn't too bad. [Have a small smile, and he's deliberately leaving out any "yet" in there. He's not superstitious, but... No reason to take for granted it'll get worse just because.]
