voice, forward dated post rescue

[it is still not decepticon to admit weakness so this post sounds hella jovial]

Next time it looks like I want an all-expenses paid vacation to Cybertron-knows-where, I'm not going to risk it. I'll just book a few days off from whatever it is stressing my processor and do the mountain retreat thing. Or drink.

So. Giving due credit to the planet for an overdue and pretty decent assassination attempt - I think, still a little fuzzy on that, I'll get back to you - what else have I missed? Vandal, how's your flimsy excuse for a house, any stiff breezes take it down yet? Blurr, are you still overworking yourself? Miko, Knock Out, your friends ever turn up? Soundwave, I'm thinking Sinatra? It's human, but nobody's perfect, right?

Megatron--...

...Still here?

[No worries, Four appreciates the effort.]

I'm okay.

A little lonely maybe, but I like talking to people through the network.

I went outside on my own recently, and I saw grass! I've only seen grass once before. I like how green plant-life looks, I wish there was more of it around here.

Organic life is beautiful. It lives and dies, and most of the time it has its own purpose.

The humans of my world created a machine that turned against them. The machine created other machines that carried gas that killed all living organisims. This includes plans, so I have never really seen any until now.

It's beautiful because it's alive. Anything that lives like organics do eventually dies, and that's why organics are tragic. Living things live life through cycles, and it's a fascinating thing to think about.

The destruction of an entire race is not something you should be laughing about >(

Beauty exists everywhere depending on the perspective you see it through.

[OH NO YOU DIDN'T.]

No one deserves to have their race destroyed! Not humans, not you Cybertronians, not any sentient or non-sentient thing! To experience life is everyone's right, and you should be ashamed for thinking otherwise.

I thought you were a good robot.

You offered to protect me when you saw I was upset. You cared.

That was a very kind thing to do.

I saw you as a good robot.
4_toteachus: (what do we do?)

I like you too, I want to be your friend.

Humans are still living things. As a species they have their problems, but I believe they're good for the most part.

No one should suffer.
4_toteachus: (wtf was that?)

I'm just speaking my mind.

[Four hesitates, his desire to see good in things clashing with his grim knowledge of what the world is and the terrible things that has happened in it. In an ideal world no one deserves to suffer... but no one lives in an ideal world do they?

He decides to sidestep that question, something he's never actually done before.
]

Who do you believe deserves to not suffer?
4_toteachus: (....???)

[Four doubts he'd make a very good Decepticon despite that.]

Why the strong?

Who is strong in your eyes?
4_toteachus: (hmm)

In a way, I can see what you mean.

Strength like that is admirable.

But I think the strong should use their strength to help the weak. It brings balance to how things are.

I admit that this is a little... idealistic though.

I suppose it is what I believe. Protecting others is the right thing to do.

I have only experienced war as an observer. I have seen from the outside how terrible it is, and I can't even imagine what it'd be like to experience from inside. There are many books on the subject of course, but it's not the same.

If you are no longer in war, would you try to do all three at once?

I don't know. I'd like to say that I would, but I won't know until it happens. Not that it will of course.

What's the first worst thing?

Then I think you are a better person than you give yourself credit for.

I'm frail.

To be contained is worse than war?

If you count having someone try to keep me and my twin locked up for our own safety.

Otherwise no I haven't.
