voice, forward dated post rescue
[it is still not decepticon to admit weakness so this post sounds hella jovial]
Next time it looks like I want an all-expenses paid vacation to Cybertron-knows-where, I'm not going to risk it. I'll just book a few days off from whatever it is stressing my processor and do the mountain retreat thing. Or drink.
So. Giving due credit to the planet for an overdue and pretty decent assassination attempt - I think, still a little fuzzy on that, I'll get back to you - what else have I missed? Vandal, how's your flimsy excuse for a house, any stiff breezes take it down yet? Blurr, are you still overworking yourself? Miko, Knock Out, your friends ever turn up? Soundwave, I'm thinking Sinatra? It's human, but nobody's perfect, right?
Megatron--...
...Still here?

I'm okay.
A little lonely maybe, but I like talking to people through the network.
I went outside on my own recently, and I saw grass! I've only seen grass once before. I like how green plant-life looks, I wish there was more of it around here.
[Text]
where youre from doesnt have grass either ?
[Text]
The humans of my world created a machine that turned against them. The machine created other machines that carried gas that killed all living organisims. This includes plans, so I have never really seen any until now.
[Text]
ha ha
sorry but humans need to s top playging with tech.
[Text]
The destruction of an entire race is not something you should be laughing about >(
[Text]
i think it can be risky to equate tragic & beautiful
the humans i know would have desrved it
[Text]
[OH NO YOU DIDN'T.]
No one deserves to have their race destroyed! Not humans, not you Cybertronians, not any sentient or non-sentient thing! To experience life is everyone's right, and you should be ashamed for thinking otherwise.
I thought you were a good robot.
[Text]
[a long pause between texts, then]
sorry to lead you on im n ot a very good robot
[Text]
That was a very kind thing to do.
I saw you as a good robot.
[Text]
i do like you
i just have trouble caring when humans do bad things and suffer for it
[Text]
Humans are still living things. As a species they have their problems, but I believe they're good for the most part.
No one should suffer.
[Text]
that's your prerogatve, i happen to think a lot of them arent
no one?
[Text]
[Four hesitates, his desire to see good in things clashing with his grim knowledge of what the world is and the terrible things that has happened in it. In an ideal world no one deserves to suffer... but no one lives in an ideal world do they?
He decides to sidestep that question, something he's never actually done before.]
Who do you believe deserves to not suffer?
[Text]
[he smiles a little at the text question. It's easy to answer.]
the strong.
[Text]
Why the strong?
Who is strong in your eyes?
[Text]
by any force
the ones who look inside for the truth
independent enduring etcetera
an inviolable self
[Text]
Strength like that is admirable.
But I think the strong should use their strength to help the weak. It brings balance to how things are.
I admit that this is a little... idealistic though.
[Text]
[this is an interesting answer from Starscream, who long ago would have been far more certain and rote in his own philosophy.]
its not easy to be good and strong and survive all at once
sometimes in war it's best two out of three
[Text]
I have only experienced war as an observer. I have seen from the outside how terrible it is, and I can't even imagine what it'd be like to experience from inside. There are many books on the subject of course, but it's not the same.
If you are no longer in war, would you try to do all three at once?
[Text]
in my opinion war is the second worst thing that you can choose to do
[he barely hesitates before he keys in]
yes
[Text]
What's the first worst thing?
Then I think you are a better person than you give yourself credit for.
[Text]
to live in chains
thanks
[Text]
To be contained is worse than war?
[Text]
ever tried it ?
[Text]
Otherwise no I haven't.
