[it is still not decepticon to admit weakness so this post sounds hella jovial]

Next time it looks like I want an all-expenses paid vacation to Cybertron-knows-where, I'm not going to risk it. I'll just book a few days off from whatever it is stressing my processor and do the mountain retreat thing. Or drink.

So. Giving due credit to the planet for an overdue and pretty decent assassination attempt - I think, still a little fuzzy on that, I'll get back to you - what else have I missed? In self defense I hope you would, 'Wave. [well besides totally bussing Ratbat, but details. That guy was never a real Decepticon.]

You're not kidding. You really did miss me. [he can't bleed all the incredulity out of his tone there, but most of it is gone. Having real friends is something he might never be used to.] ...Maybe I should be thanking you.

Mm, that's different. [He's not so spineless that he wouldn't protect himself, at least.]

I don't know. I know your world's Starscream is completely different. [the bias in his favor probably helped--the fact that Soundwave himself was incredibly patient and kind also helped. A lot.]

You gave me a chance anyway. [he's all but indirectly admitting that he needs others to believe he is a thing before he can believe it himself. Which is the one fatal flaw through his spark that he's never managed to fix.]
