The others and I have returned. Thank you, all of you, who have come with me. I couldn't have done this journey alone.

I have one other question for you all. We found someone out on our journey. I asked for Cliffjumper to take him back out to the Haven. Is he safe? He is another of your metal warriors, a tall, mostly red individual with a gray face and white wings with yellow glass on his chest. He looks like he must fly, much like Wing does. The glyph of Liege Maximo was on his arm.

I do not know him, but I hope he was returned successfully.

Hey, I might rather have wanted to shoot him in his ugly faceplates for several different reasons, but I promise I just got him to the Haven. Didn't even kick him in the kneejoints at any point.

[And then he'd left him at the edge of Liege's Quadrant, since the frustration hadn't been worth it to be generous enough to get him all the way through the Quadrant and then up the mountain.]

I never doubted that. I just wasn't sure if you ran into trouble along the way, Cliffjumper.

Nothing attacked us, anyway, unlike what was goin' on when we were getting to the Badlands with you, and since he didn't fall over an' didn't need to be dragged, we didn't have any problems.

[Well, except for all those Differences, but that was a given. And if Starscream would have needed any sort of physical assistance like being dragged, that'd have been an issue. What with being so much shorter. Luckily, nothing had happened.]

... Yeah, the same. [There's a slight huff.] Not like you didn't have backup or anythin', but I don't like leavin' things unfinished.

[Not that that assessment of Starscream's ability while they got back to the Haven was perfectly fair, but no one's ever claimed Cliffjumper was particularly fair.]

[He shrugged and, despite having had to leave before it was all done, at least he'd still helped.]

When Lord Prima is prepared, then yes. Hopefully. I don't think this will remove it, but he stated it will contain my curse.

I suppose that's a way of looking at it.

[And then he just grimaces and then grunts in affirmation, because what is it; now both Starscream and Ashitaka's talking about "owing" and being in "debt". What was wrong with just helping people around here!]

[He sighs a bit, static briefly fuzzing out any actual words.]

[He snorts and then... almost disconnects because what's with the silence and-- well, that's not a lot better when Starscream actually speaks up again, and it takes a bit for Cliffjumper to reply as well.]

It was tempting to. [shoot him, he means. But he doesn't sound totally serious] I'm really into this not-having-a-second-great-war thing, if you couldn't tell.

I know. [Because it was certainly tempting for him too, and he's a lot more serious about it. He does have impulse control though. ~~You can stop laughing now. Any minute~~.]

Uh-huh. I'm sure you could get what you wanted even without tryin' it the "conquer through war" thing.

[Just because that was Megatron's method didn't mean Cliffjumper would be convinced Starscream wasn't perfectly capable of similar wants but just using different methods. The Starscream he knew, simple backstabber or not, had, after all, been the ruler of Vos.]

Unless you're gonna say you've never wanted what Megatron wanted, or his position, I think it's kinda obvious.

[He just snorts, drumming his fingers against a lower arm on his end.]

Beyond that, I don't make it a habit of speculatin'.

[Because it was always obvious, desires stated, challenges made and all that.]

[Simply] Megatron was a fool, whose entire online military career was based on necessary evils.

I don't even know what he wanted, ultimately. But I know whatever it was, he never got it.
