Hey, so I realized something sort of important. Well, besides the whole fuel issue for McCrane, Deckerd and me, plus the fact the humans probably are sorely missing what it's like to have a bath and I myself am regretting the lack of polish--

But, no, besides all that. I checked the date and I realized: OH NO! I am in dire need of fireworks.

So give me a ring if you happen to spot any. This is terribly important! It's for fancy Earth reasons, I swear.

What's Independence Day about?

Mm, it's a little hard to explain without going on about it. The reason why America celebrates it is because it won its independence from England, another country, who was more or less bossing America around stupidly. Although if Duke was here, he might tell you differently. This happened wayyyy before I was made, though. It was a long time ago.

Most of the time, Americans just celebrate it because it's a nice way to get a little patriotic about our home. Granted, I wasn't in America for very long, but I kind of want an excuse for having a good time here, even if it's just for a few hours.

Sounds like the End of the 100 Year War celebrations back home.

The 100 year war ended 70 years ago, and it...well, it lasted for a 100 years, until my predecessor, Avatar Aang, ended it.

Well, I guess you'll just have to celebrate extra hard with me in two days so we can have something good here, all right? That a deal?

There anything special you need about your fireworks that I can try to do, too? Like, colors, or something? [Korra knows there's a certain color language in firebending stories, such as those of Zuko and Azula--Zuko always red fire, Azula always blue fire.]

Hmm, what colors can you do? I didn't know you could do that. Though I guess it depends on how hot the fire is.

Yeah, it's all about how hot the fire is--I can definitely make it turn blue, just make the flames warmer.

Red and blue is close to perfect. I just wish we could do white, but that's a bit out there.

Still, that'd be pretty incredible if you could do that.
