Hey, so I realized something sort of important. Well, besides the whole fuel issue for McCrane, Deckerd and me, plus the fact the humans probably are sorely missing what it's like to have a bath and I myself am regretting the lack of polish--

But, no, besides all that. I checked the date and I realized: OH NO! I am in dire need of fireworks.

So give me a ring if you happen to spot any. This is terribly important! It's for fancy Earth reasons, I swear.

Oh, hey, Gunmax! You made it out of that big mess alive. I'm up at a workshop about 50 or so clicks southeast of the junk. Me and the doc - yeah, the guy I was looking for - uh, we got lots of stuff around here. Probably not any small human fireworks, though. I'll keep an eye out, though.

[Pause in the feed, but he's still online. Mostly mulling over the weird experience he had with the mech who... wasn't quite a mech. Eh, he was a friendly enough drone, and Breakdown still thinks he should get them over with him and Knock Out. Rally the forces, etc.]
I'll send the location. You and the other two should come see how it is around the forge. I'll look for some petrorab- petrochamel- petrochomcols for you guys. There's probably something 'round here that doesn't work on energon.

I heard about energon. McCrane seems concerned about how it'll affect our systems.

It affects my systems like... huh. I can't live without it! Best power source I know of. I mean, I've never met anyone that didn't run on energon. Even the drones do where I come from.

Heh! No way. I'm the only one of our line that was made in America. Most of the others were made in Japan, so they only understand Japanese. Fortunately, this Link that was uploaded makes the translations for us, but it was kind of rough for them at first.

It translates? I hadn't even noticed. Oh. Well, heh, I was wondering how you'd get on. Not everyone speaks human languages. Knock Out speaks more 'n I do anyway, but... but yeah, that's good news.

Still can't get over the idea of being made. Manufactured. I mean, I guess we all are, but your AI's so good you really don't seem like a machine. [Oh well that had probably come out wrong.]

Oh. Uh. Well, uh... Honesty? You're not a Cybertronian, but you're not a machine. We have drones back on my old ship, but none of 'em have your spunk. You act just like a mech with a spark... er, a heart.

Not sure what a spark is, but it's said that the BP series have hearts. I'd like to think that's true, all things considered. So, I guess I'm not too sure if I'm flattered or offended yet.

Hmm, I was told I should learn Cybertronian. I'm already having a hard time pronouncing some words I've heard.

Fair enough. It's not like I ever met a Cybertronian until you, anyway. So I guess we're in a similar position.

Do your people just have one language?

Aww, hell no. Most every country or city state has a local language, though the nobles share a few, but almost everyone speaks either Lower Kaonish, Lower Iaconian, or maybe Vosese, so we make do with a few common languages. And then we just plug in an Earth language dictonary and phrasebook onto a similar grammar for speaking those. You know, based on the grammar we already know. Doesn't always go well. English is pretty similar to Lower Kaonish though. Japanese was much harder, because I was totally out of practice on Vosese, but, yanno, I got stationed for a while on the Hokkaido mines so I had nothing better to do than pick it up. I probably speak Vosish weird now, though. Totally different ways to say you gotta do something.

But still. Don't ask me to teach languages... I suck slag at any of that. Maybe Knock Out could help you there.

Sheesh. I'd say it sounds like a pain in the butt, but Earth isn't much different, I suppose. That's sort of interesting.

Well, I might bother Knock Out about it, then. Assuming he'd be interested to help out, but he doesn't seem all that bad.

[At least to Gunmax, both Breakdown and Knock Out aren't bad to talk to. Whatever, he can't wrap his mind around that Autobot and Decepticon feud, and he's not about to start trying.]

Rodger! You're one talk away from the best-tasting, hardest-partying night of your life. [Breakdown grins just thinking about getting overcharged with mechs like Gunmax and his friend. Gunmax seemed like the kind of guy you'd want at a party. Up for anything, probably great stories, drink you under the table. Yeah. Great idea. Great idea to forget about being stranded away from the rest of the crew holed up in a workshop.]
