I might have accidentally started the fireworks early.

Energon, it seems, is not a viable replacement for gasoline. [He is grateful he didn't try consuming it before this test, and even more grateful that he managed to start the vehicle from a distance.]

I don't suppose anyone has any suggestions? Or a way to convert us to a different fuel source?

Or some wash-cloths and soap?

I've ruled out one possibility, at least.

If I had, I don't think I would have recommended it to you. I'd have to know you better to dislike you that much.

However, I don't know what I could have diluted it with. [Its not like the engine can suck any more energon into the valves than it otherwise would have been able to, no matter how much he put in the tank. However, maybe the explosion wouldn't have been *quite* so big if there'd been less nearby.]

Ratchet does not have many ideas, either.

This is not looking good.

[Can it be any worse of a day?]

[He snorts.] Maybe we ought to just rebuild you to metabolize energon instead of that petrochemical sludge from Earth.

[He doesn't mean that seriously-- it'd be a lot of work and he's already got his hands full with his own repairs and Phama's-- well, hands. But hey, it is an option...]

That makes you different than a mechanic? [He doesn't understand.] What kind of medicine does a robot need?

A mechanic works on machines-- robots, drones. Things that aren't people. I'd let a mechanic look at my suspension, but I wouldn't exactly let him poke at my organs, if you get my meaning.

Of course I do. As far as I know, all Cybertronians do. They're what makes us machine life.

I never imagined that surviving off of Earth would be this difficult. Is there no accessible carbon on Cybertron?

Oh there will be some, of course. A few deposits here or there, you know~. It's just not nearly as prevalent on Cybertron as, oh, any other organic planet out there.

And yet we cannot reach any other planet out there without gasoline.

[He sees this for the giant problem that it is, just as he knew it would be on Day 1.]
