Ow.... How long was I even out..? Least they could've put me on something softer than ... Oh, is it on?

[The kid stops rubbing at his sore back, holding the communicator somewhat awkwardly as though afraid he'd break it. He turns it over a couple of times before deciding on which way's probably right-side up, nodding to himself. Hope you didn't get dizzy there.]

Um. So...is anyone else out there? I...kind of just got here not too long ago, I guess you could say. Still kinda confused about that too... [No matter what the giant robed metal thingy tried to explain.]

-and is everything around here ridiculously huge? I was kinda hoping I wouldn't have to go through this again...

[He pauses.]

I wonder if this thing is even working.

Uh, yeah... It's only happened in one other world I visited, but it was still strange. It wasn't even a world with big metal people like this!

So you've been to other worlds before? [okay, if space travel is the norm for him, then he's...clearly not from Raf's own world. so much for that. but at least he's another human - or looks close enough - and even with Raf thoughtful, he smiles back]

Um. Well...a few, anyway.

That's still more than I've ever seen. Until a while back, I hadn't even really known about any inhabited ones, other than Earth.

No? Well...it hasn't really been that long for me either- starting to visit other places, I mean.

...a few months. Sometimes, it seems like longer. But...it's not so bad.

Oh... Are you by yourself too..?

I have some friends. And I've made some new ones, too. most people are friendly, here, no matter what species you are.

[He smiles a little.]

That always helps. The people I've talked to so far around here do seem pretty friendly. I wouldn't want to be stuck in some place like this by myself.

It's Rafael, but almost everybody calls me Raf. [look! they have things in common!] And I'll never say no to making more friends, especially not here. Let me know if you need any help, okay?
