[For a while after the pages thing, Four found it hard to get himself interested in anything. After all the chasing he had done, he's still all alone. His family isn't here, and he wonders if they'll ever be here. He knows that if he doesn't give himself something to do, he'll slowly drive himself crazy by sitting in a corner and going through every moment he had spent with each of his family members.

It doesn't take him long to give himself a project. He has made a few friends here, so maybe it's time to appreciate them. This is way better than sitting around and moping all day.]

It shouldn't take long.

[He'll just start on getting over, then, giving the stitchpunk a smile before his gaze sort of unfocuses a little and he stares beyond the screen.]

Ah, well... The patterns found from laying out events or interactions. Stars and their varying colours, depending on in which part of the spectrum one views them in... The pattern different strata or materials of earth or metal makes, which vary from planet to planet.

I also find all frames beautiful, especially in conjunction with knowledge of all their parts and how they work...

[He trails off, and there's a momentary pause.]

... Certain traits, can also be beautiful, if taken in conjunction with how an individual uses them.

[And he is totally talking about a particular person.]

[Excited that he's about to have another visitor, he quickly fusses over Jetfire's gift a little bit more before he makes his reply.]

I've never given too much thought about the stars, though I know the knowledge that comes with them is vast. Have you travelled a lot? If so, what are other planets like? ... Oh, are you in love with someone too?

I ended up travelling a bit in an attempt to rebuff the Decepticon expasion and attack of other planets, yes. The variation... is quite large. Some of them are very similar to Earth, others similar but different.

As well as some I think are or were somehow connected to Cybertron in the past--

[Oh. Jetfire pauses, optics widening and the colour briefly going strong, colouring the closest parts of his faceplates blue.]

That... is complicated.

[And since he's here now, let him just turn off the feed and pause in the doorway to Four's room, rubbing the lower half of his face with a hand. It takes Jetfire another few moments before he replies.]

I care for him a lot. I know he's not the most perfect or nicest individual, but I've... seen him at both his best and his worst. I know what he's capable of, and while some of it might be cruel... That's not all he is. I haven't always been able to go with him, but it's been impossible to stop caring.

[Lot of words while still not saying "yes, I love him". It's also the most articulated thought he's expressed over Starscream since he flew towards his confrontation with Sunstorm and realised that what mattered was that they were friends. And now this.]

[They may be in the same room, but Four decides to continue using the texting function. It's not like he's capable of continue a conversation without it.]

Who is this person? He must be really special for you to care about him as much as you do.

[Four smiles and holds up a flower made out of strips of leather. He's particularly proud of this one because of the use he managed to put the patterns to. Eagerly, he balances on the very edge of the giant robot-sized table and continues to hold it up for Jetfire to examine, the idea that he might fall never occurs to him.]

[That is such a tiny thing, but he should be able to pick it up later. For now, he simply steps up beside the table to get a closer look at it.]

That... must have taken a lot of effort, Four. Thank you.

[And then he'll, ahem, put his hand out level with the table's surface so that Four can just lay the flower on the nearest finger so he might stop leaning over and risk falling from the table.]

... How did you get up here, by the way?

[Because that's sort of... impressive. And as for Four's actual question... Jetfire shrugs.]

Starscream. Ah... Not the one with a cybertronian alt, but with an Earth fighter jet as base.

[He'll briefly use the computer on his arm that he also uses to communicate through the Link with to display an image of the Starscream he means.]

[Smiling Four places the flower on one of Skyfire's large fingers and takes a step back, away from the edge. Now that we've got that out of th- oh, how did Four get up here? Well let him show you! He gestures to Skyfire to come and look, and walks over to the opposite side of the table. There he plucks at a looong ladder made of toothpicks and string. It's held in place by a couple of strips of duct tape, and it seems strong enough to hold his weight.

How he got it up here in the first place is quite a story.

The tabletop Four is on is scattered with a wide variety of items. Everything from ribbons to beads can be seen, and a few other odd things he's gathered from the junk pile. Interestingly enough he has it all organized in whatever containers he can find: Red beads in one cup, and blue beads in another, and the containers themselves are organized according to their colours: Blue one one end and red on the other, all the other colours arranged in between. Even scraps of paper are neatly stacked and arranged almost obsessively according to whatever form of organization Four is using to identify them all. All in all it's a very chaotic, organized mess, and Four is proud of it.

But he's trying to make an elevator for himself, since climbing up that ladder all the time is kind of dangerous. Four points down at the ground where a metal plate, large springs, thin rope, tiny gears, and a some cutlery lay. Building an elevator all by himself that reaches from the floor to the top of a robot-sized table is no easy task. A pulley system with string and a platform might work, but Four wants something a little sturdier.

He's distracted from his show-and-show at the revelation though, which he replies to with an extremely blank look. Four has never seen either Starscream in an alt-mode, so he still has no idea which one he's talking about. He hopes its the nicer one and not the one with the big giant ego.]

[Following Four's little show-and-"tell" with his optics, Jetfire can easily admit that he's impressed, though the attempt at an elevator gets a frown. It's not too hard to figure out what he wants, and while it might be somewhat difficult to work in such a miniature version...

And then, of course, he's given a blank look over Starscream. It takes a few moments to figure out what Four might actually mean, but he ends up showing two simple still images of the two Starscreams and point to the one he means, right after having gently put away the gift so it wouldn't be lost.]

This one... Ah, he can be quite... aggravating.

[Small smile, despite what he just said, then he shakes his helm and indicates Four's table and the well-organized chaos on top of it.]

This is... impressive. Especially how you got up here. While I can't guarantee anything, since it'd be an issue to work this small without better tools, I could perhaps make some sort of hover device for you?

Make it simpler to not just get around outside of here, but move around in your room as well.

[Oh, you mean that Starscream. Not being judgemental by nature, Four is more curious about this revelation than anything. He's talked to Starscream before and while he isn't largely unpleasant, he does have a rather large ego. But obviously one big character trait isn't everything he is, and Four decides that he should talk to him again someday.

He's officially decided that all the boxy flying robots are all not as bad as he first thought. Jetfire being the exception here.

A hover device? Can such a thing be accomplished for someone his size? He then chides himself for such silly thoughts. Anything is possible in this place, he shouldn't be so quick to doubt. He tilts his head and clicks his eyes several times, indicationg that he's definitely interested in this idea. Being able to move around without fear of being crushed would be a giant improvement.]

[He chuckles and nods as he turns off the screen and folds it away, catching Four's reaction to his suggestions with a smile.]

Shouldn't be impossible, but like I said, it might take a while. It would, of course, be simplicity itself with the proper machinery, or, lacking that, tools, but we seem to presently be in somewhat of a drought of that.

If nothing changes regarding the availability in a while, I should nonetheless have something in not too long. Any particular construction you'd prefer? Something with a seat, formed more like a vehicle perhaps, or standing up, something of a simpler design?

[For something like this, Four knows he can't rely on his body language alone to get his point across. For the first time, Four feels annoyed with his inability to communicate more complex ideas without the help of his communicator. So he has to scuttle away so he can find it.]

You are too kind Jetfire! I'd prefer to be standing up, and I want to be able to carry larger items with it too.

[It's easy to notice what Four has to do, but a solution to that problem might be harder to supply than some sort of hover vehicle for the stitchpunk to ride on...]

Hmm... That does make things marginally simpler. A magnet could carry anything made of metal under the back half of the vehicle, with a simple gripping claw to move thing to a container behind where you're standing...

[Jetfire rubs his chin thoughtfully; had he had better or more available technology, he might have mentioned something like a forcefield for lifting other miscellania than that made of metal, but a gripping claw would be more reliable.]
