However, this is nothing but a facade, a trick. He's in fact a shape-shifter and a double agent that infiltrated the Autobot ranks eons ago and has been secretly working for Megatron all this time. He's dangerous and can't be trusted. His true name is Shockwave and his real appearance is this one:

In retrospect I think HE WAS...Lugnut and Blitzwing were there but I don't think they were adequate for the position and you know Starscream is not in Megatron's good list.
